As an administrator, you have authorizations that let you work on critical tasks, such as managing orders and licenses, overseeing your company's solution landscape, and creating support cases.
If you want to let your colleagues work on these tasks, they will need separate S-user IDs that you can request for them.
Cloud administrators can invite their service partner's S-users to create and manage cases on their behalf.
An S-user ID gives your colleagues access to many SAP websites and customer-specific content. However, to work on critical tasks, such as landscape administration, purchasing, and contract management, they will require special permissions. You are responsible for granting them these authorizations.
For security reasons, S-user IDs come with an expiry date that you need to extend from time to time.
When someone leaves your company, you are responsible for deleting their S-user ID to prevent unauthorized access to confidential company data.
SAP frequently sends notifications to S-users, for instance about the progress of a case or the status of a cloud service. You need to maintain an official list of your company's Internet domains and follow the e-mail guidelines for S-user IDs so that SAP can validate the integrity of their e-mail addresses.
SAP strongly recommends that you create at least two additional administrators(opens in new tab) – S-users with the same authorization profile as yours – who can support you or substitute for you if needed. Users assigned this role should be reviewed regularly to help protect your company.
Super administrators have all authorizations for all applications in the SAP for Me portal at the highest possible level, i.e., usually for the whole customer number or, in the case of a global corporation (COE), multiple customer numbers.
Cloud administrators have those authorizations that are required to fulfill all SAP cloud-related tasks.
You can view your existing authorizations in the SAP for Me portal’s My Profile section.
Create a case about user data issues using the component XX-SER-FORME (User Administration).
SAP Universal ID(opens in new tab) (UID) is your personal SAP identity, an account for life. It is the default authentication method when logging into SAP sites and platforms.
The S-user ID is the link between your UID and your company. Similar to an employee access card, it gives you access to company data shown in SAP customer and partner portals like SAP for Me(opens in new tab). Simply log on with your S-user ID, or sign in with your UID and, when prompted, select an S-user ID if you have multiple ones.
Administrators and other important contacts in your company are listed on the Users & Contacts dashboard(opens in new tab) in the SAP for Me portal.
