Manage Service Partner Users Card

The Manage Service Partner Users(opens in new tab) card allows cloud customers' administrators to invite and authorize partner S-users (outside the customer company) to create support cases on their behalf. This is related to the Service Partner User Cockpit card.

Note:

On-behalf scenarios other than case management are not yet covered. In particular, the Customer Remote Logon Depot (formerly known as Secure Area) is not available to partner S-users. Therefore, if remote connectivity is requested by SAP, the partner has to ask the customer to provide the remote connection credentials.

Procedure

  1. From the sidebar, select Users & Contacts → Manage Service Partner Users card.
  2. The Service Partner User screen lists all partner S-user IDs that have been granted the permission to create cases on behalf of the customer, including the expiry date of this grant. To add an S-user ID to the list, select the Invite Partner User button.
  3. Enter the S-user ID of the partner that you want to invite.
Note:  Data privacy reasons, the S-user's name will not be shown.
  4. Select the Submit button to send the invitation to the partner.
  5. You will receive a notification indicating if the assignment has been successful or not.
  6. Once the partner has accepted the invitation, access the Manage Service Partner Users card again to provide the partner S-user with the authorizations required to create cases on your behalf by clicking .
    1. Under the Validity Period tab, click Edit .
    2. Specify the Valid From and Valid To dates and save by clicking .
    3. Enter the Authorizations tab and click Edit .
    4. Expand the Incident Management section to select the installations/ systems the partner S-user may create cases for.
Note: For SAP SuccessFactors and SAP Ariba you also need to expand the Display Cloud Data section and select the installations/ systems for authorization.
    5. Save your selection.

For the specified validity period and the installations/ systems selected, the partner S-user can now create cases on behalf of your company.
