Setup for SAP Mobile Services

This page explains how to connect the SAP Mobile Services to SAP Cloud ALM to enable monitoring.

Currently the following monitoring application are supported for the SAP Mobile Services:

Prerequisites

To enable SAP Mobile Services to send monitoring data to SAP Cloud ALM:

  • To access the SAP Cloud ALM setup UI your user needs the Administrator role for your SAP Mobile Services instance.
  • You need to obtain the SAP Cloud ALM Service Key to connect to the SAP Cloud ALM system

Create Connection to SAP Cloud ALM

The following steps only need to be executed if you want to use Integration & Exception Monitoring.

  1. In SAP BTP Cockpit select your SAP Mobile Services instance and click on "View Dashboard"
  2. Click on "Settings" > "SAP Cloud ALM"
  3. Enter the following values:
    1. ALM Service URL: Service key parameter "Api" without /api, e.g. https://eu10.alm.cloud.sap
    2. ALM Authentication Endpoint: Service key parameter "url" extended by /oauth/token
    3. Client ID: Service key parameter "clientid"
    4. Client Secret: Service key parameter "clientsecret"
  4. Click on "Save"

The registration will create an entry for this SAP Mobile Services instance in the Landscape Management application of SAP Cloud ALM.

Please note: Currently, the tenant created by this registration will have the service type "SAP BTP Cloud Foundry environment" and not match the tenant imported from the SAP Backend. We are aware of this issue and are working on correcting it.

Setup Steps in SAP Cloud ALM

Configuration and Security Analysis

SAP Mobile Services uses our new data collection infrastructure to report monitoring data for Configuration & Security Analysis to SAP Cloud ALM. For this reason, you only have to activate the monitoring in Configuration & Security Analysis for your SAP Mobile Services tenant imported from the SAP Backend to receive monitoring data from SAP Mobile Services.

Integration & Exception Monitoring

After setting up the monitoring PUSH to SAP Cloud ALM in the managed service, the data collection will be activated automatically with default monitoring configurations.

You can adjust the monitoring setup within the monitoring application. Find more information on the configuration on the "Setup & Configuration" pages for the application.
