Setup for SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation

This page explains how to connect SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation to SAP Cloud ALM.

How to Configure Alerting for Job & Automation Monitoring

  • In this video, you will learn how to Set up Job & Automation Monitoring for SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation:
    • Set up the PUSH monitoring connection
    • Activate the monitoring data connection in SAP Intelligent RPA
    • Check the monitoring data collection in SAP Cloud ALM


To enable SAP Intelligent RPA to send monitoring data to SAP Cloud ALM:

  • You need an user with administrator authorizations in SAP Intelligent RPA
  • You need to obtain the SAP Cloud ALM Service Key to connect to the SAP Cloud ALM system

Activate Monitoring Data PUSH in SAP Intelligent RPA

  1. Log on to your SAP Intelligent RPA tenant
  2. Click on the drop-down icon next to 'Configuration' and select 'SAP Cloud ALM'
  3. Enter the following information:
    1. Authentication:
      1. Authentication URL: SAP Cloud ALM service key parameter "uaa":"url" extended by /oauth/token
      2. Client ID: SAP Cloud ALM service key parameter "uaa":"clientid"
      3. Client secret: SAP Cloud ALM service key parameter "uaa":"clientsecret"
    2. Configuration: 
      1. Service name: name under which you want the SAP Intelligent RPA tenant to appear in Landscape Management
      2. Service Description: optional description
      3. Root URL: Select the URL that matches the host in the SAP Cloud ALM service key parameter "Api"
  4. Click the 'Save' button
  5. Click the 'Register' button
  6. In the section 'Job Monitoring Configuration' select the automations you want to monitor
  7. In the section 'Health Monitoring Configuration' select the environments you want to monitor
  8. Click the 'Save' button 

Next Steps

After setting up the monitoring PUSH to SAP Cloud ALM in the managed service, the data collection for the use-cases selected in the communication scenarios will be activated automatically with default monitoring configurations. 

You can adjust the monitoring setup within the monitoring application. Find more information on the configuration on the "Setup & Configuration" pages for the application.
