Enhanced Change and Transport System

With the enhanced Change and Transport System (CTS+) you can transport non-ABAP objects via the CTS. CTS+ is offered starting with SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SPS 12. Integration in Applications via Close Coupling is available. On this page, you can find a summary of documentation and How-to Guides which can help you setting up CTS+ in your environment. Choose the Application which you want to integrate with CTS+ and check the available material for the release that you are currently using.

Availability of SAP NetWeaver AS Java

Mainstream maintenance for SAP NetWeaver AS Java is available until 2027. Details can be found on the following web sites:

You should therefore not start using CTS+ with AS JAVA for any application. If you implemented CTS+ on your own for your applications, check the guide Implement CTS+ for Your Application to learn how to change your implementation. If you use CTS+ for any application where SAP provides an integration in CTS+, please check with the application support how to proceed.

Dual Stack Split

In case you update your CTS system to a release which requires a Dual Stack Split (or if you do a split for any other reason), you have to do follow-up activities for your CTS+ configuration. For Details, refer to sltoolset →  System Provisioning →  Split a System using Software Provisioning Manager 1.0 → Dual-Stack Split Guides (SAP help page). Choose the guide which fits for your System (based on SAP NW 7.0 or 7.1 and higher). Choose your operating system and then read within the chapter on 'Follow-Up Activities' (currently chapter 6) the sub-chapter 'Follow-Up Activities for the Enhanced Change and Transport System'.
