SAP Content Server

This page explains how to prepare a SAP Content Server managed system for the execution of the Simple System Integration

Currently the following monitoring application are supported for SAP Content Server systems:

Preparations in the Managed System

SAP Content Server monitoring scenario consists of two systems:

  • A MaxDB Database - the core component of an SAP Content Server installation. The MaxDB database monitoring setup has to be performed separately and is not part of this documentation. For information about MaxDB Database preparation, see SAP MaxDB Database Preparation.
  • A web engine:
    • For SAP Content Server 6.40/6.50: Microsoft IIS Server for Windows or Apache HTTP Server for UNIX
    • For SAP Content Server 7.53: SAP Content Server 7.53 is now a stand-alone that no longer depends on IIS or Apache as a web engine

The preparation steps for the different web engines are described on this page.
