This page explains how to prepare an Apache HTTP Server managed system for the execution of the Simple System Integration

Preparations in the Managed System

Run Outside Discovery on the HostAs prerequisites, you shall install the SAP Host Agent and run Outside Discovery as described in Preparing Outside Discovery page.
Install HTTP Server 2.2Note: This system type is typically used in the SAP Content Server monitoring scenario above (Apache Tomcat (ATC)).

Create the technical system in LMDB

The Apache HTTP Server has to be manually created in the LMDB as an Unspecific Standalone System.

From the SAP Launchpad -> LMDB Object Maintenance->Single Customer Network then Select your customer Network on the right top corner.
  • Select Type Unspecific Standalone System, Extended ID.
  • Define the System name.
  • Type: Apache http Server
  • Add the hostname and save.
Define software component informationIn the navigation tree, go to the “Software” Menu -> SW Component Versions tab.
  • Click on Add.
  • Select Installation Type: 'Installed on system'.
  • Search for “Apache Server 2.2”.
  • One line should be Displayed, Select the line, click on Add.
Define hostsIn the navigation tree, go to the “Hosts” Menu, check the Host details.
Add LMDB installation pathIn the navigation tree, go to the main “Technical System” view, add the installation path: \etc\apache2.
Add Content Server portOn the "TCP/IP Ports" tab add a Content Server TCP/IP port name, port number and protocol (HTTP).
Add LMDB log file nameIn the navigation tree, go to the main “Technical System” view, select "Details”. In the appeared Pop-up select “Properties” and log for Property name LogPath, there add: /var/log/apache2 as value.
