News with Software Logistics Toolset 1.0 SPS 38

Availability: SL Toolset 1.0 SPS 38 is available since May 26th 2023.
What's in: compared to SPS 37, no tool was added or removed.

ZDO:
- New phase RUN_ZDO_SLT_IMPANA_CONSISTENCY checks potential inconsistency between current system and ZDIMPANA.ZIP concerning SLT triggers
- Changes to Primary Keys no longer lead to cloned tables (if required SAP HANA revision is sufficient)
Homogeneous DMO: SAP HANA DB to SAP HANA DB
- Only for targeting SAP S/4HANA
- Downtime-optimizations not (yet) supported (doDMO, downtime-optimized Conversion)
DMO move to SAP S/4HANA (on hyperscaler) (DMOVE2S4)
- Alternative approach to “DMO with system move”
- Requires low latency and high bandwidth between source and target environment
- Can be used "plain", or with downtime optimization (doDMO, downtime-optimized Conversion)
- Approach was named "DMO to Azure" or "DMO conversion to hyperscaler" so far

Changes with latest SL Toolset version for 7.00 to 7.57 (SL Toolset 1.0 SPS 38 / Version 0085)

Enhancements and bug fixes in upgrade and EHPI relevant functions:
- Adaptions for the Software Update Manager (SUM) (SL Toolset SP Stack 38).
- Early check of the upgrade behaviour of Add-Ons in SUM (similar to the report RSSPAM_CHECK_ADDONS_UPGRADE).
Improvements in report RSSPAM_CHECK_ADDONS_UPGRADE to cover special cases in the upgrade behaviour of Add-On components.
The check for required notes considers now the implementation via transport based corrections (TCI).
Improvements of the uninstallation process:
- Support for new object types.
- Support for new Add-Ons.
