Setup for SAP Information Collaboration Hub for Life Sciences

This page explains how to connect SAP Information Collaboration Hub for Life Sciences to SAP Cloud ALM to enable monitoring.

Currently, the following monitoring application is supported for SAP Information Collaboration Hub for Life Sciences:

Prerequisites

To enable SAP Information Collaboration Hub for Life Sciences to send monitoring data to SAP Cloud ALM:

  • You need to obtain the SAP Cloud ALM Service Key to connect to the SAP Cloud ALM system
  • Use the "Integration Monitoring with SAP Cloud ALM" app in SAP Information Collaboration Hub for Life Sciences to connect to SAP Cloud ALM. If you do not have access to the app, contact your organization's app administrator.

Setup Monitoring Push to SAP Cloud ALM

Register in SAP Cloud ALM

  1. In SAP BTP Cockpit select your SAP Information Collaboration Hub for Life Sciences subscription and click on "Go to Application"
  2. Click on the "Integration Monitoring" tile
  3. Under "Integration with SAP Cloud ALM" enter:
    1. Client ID: SAP Cloud ALM service key parameter "uaa":"clientid"
    2. Client Secret: SAP Cloud ALM service key parameter "uaa":"clientsecret"
    3. Endpoint: SAP Cloud ALM service key parameter "Api" without '/api', e.g. https://eu10.alm.cloud.sap
    4. OAuth URL: SAP Cloud ALM service key parameter "uaa":"URL" extended by "/oauth/token"
  4. Click the "Subscribe" button in the lower right corner.

Deregister in SAP Cloud ALM

If you want to turn off the monitoring in the SAP Information Collaboration Hub for Life Sciences tenant, please proceed as follows:
  1. In SAP BTP Cockpit select your SAP Information Collaboration Hub for Life Sciences subscription and click on "Go to Application"
  2. Click on the "Integration Monitoring" tile
  3. Click the "Edit" button for the existing registration
  4. Click the "Subscribed" button in the lower right corner.
  5. Click on "Unsubscribe".

Next Steps

After setting up the monitoring PUSH to SAP Cloud ALM in the managed service, the data collection for the use-cases selected in the communication scenarios will be activated automatically with default monitoring configurations. 

You can adjust the monitoring setup within the monitoring application. Find more information on the configuration on the "Setup & Configuration" pages for the application.
