Setup for SAP Entitlement Management

This page explains how to connect SAP Entitlement Management to SAP Cloud ALM.

Currently, the following monitoring application is supported for SAP Entitlement Management:

Prerequisites

To enable SAP Entitlement Management to send monitoring data to SAP Cloud ALM:

  • You need a user with the "Destination Administrator" authorizations in the SAP BTP subaccount in which SAP Entitlement Management is subscribed
  • You need to obtain the SAP Cloud ALM Service Key to connect to the SAP Cloud ALM system

Setup Steps in BTP Cockpit

Create Destination in BTP Cockpit

You only have to perform these steps if you want to set up the use case Business Process Monitoring.

  1. Log on to SAP BTP Cockpit and navigate to the sub-account for your SAP Entitlement Management 
  2. Go to Connectivity > Destinations
  3. Click on "New Destination"
  4. Create a new destination using the "Blank Template" view
    1. Name: Enter a name for the destination starting with CALM_ (e.g. CALM_BPMON)
    2. Type: HTTP
    3. Proxy Type: Internet
    4. URL: SAP Cloud ALM service key parameter "Endpoints" > "Api" without api (make sure to keep the / at the end)
    5. Authentication: Select 'OAuth2ClientCredentials'
    6. Client ID: SAP Cloud ALM service key parameter "clientid"
    7. Client Secret: SAP Cloud ALM service key parameter "clientsecret"
    8. Token Service URL Type: Dedicated
    9. Token Service URL: SAP Cloud ALM service key parameter "uaa" > "url" + /oauth/token
  5. Save the destination

Setup Steps in SAP Entitlement Management

Activate Monitoring Use-Cases

  1. Log on to SAP Entitlement Management
  2. Navigate to 'System Administration' > 'Maintain System Settings'
  3. In the left-hand navigation panel, navigate to 'SAP Cloud ALM Integration'
  4. Click 'Edit'
  5. To enable Integration & Exception Monitoring, select 'Enable Integration Monitoring'
  6. To enable Business Process Monitoring, select 'Enable Business Process Monitoring'
    1. Destination Name: Please select the destination that you created previously
  7. Click 'Save'

Setup Steps in SAP Cloud ALM

You only have to perform these steps if you want to set up the use case Integration & Exception Monitoring.

SAP Entitlement Management uses our new data collection infrastructure to report monitoring data to Integration & Exception Monitoring in SAP Cloud ALM. For this reason, you only have to activate the monitoring in Integration & Exception Monitoring to receive monitoring data from SAP Entitlement Management. 

Next Steps

After setting up the monitoring PUSH for Business Process Monitoring in the managed service, the data collection will be activated automatically with default monitoring configurations.
