Setup for Data Ingestion for Industry Cloud Solutions

This page explains how to connect data ingestion for industry cloud solutions to SAP Cloud ALM.

Currently, the following monitoring application is supported for data ingestion for industry cloud solutions:

Prerequisites

To enable data ingestion for industry cloud solutions to send monitoring data to SAP Cloud ALM:

You need a user with the "Destination Administrator" authorizations in the SAP BTP subaccount in which data ingestion for industry cloud solutions is subscribed
You need to obtain the SAP Cloud ALM Service Key to connect to the SAP Cloud ALM system

Activate Monitoring Data PUSH in Data Ingestion for Industry Cloud Solutions

Create Destination in BTP Cockpit

Log on to SAP BTP Cockpit and navigate to the sub-account for your data ingestion for industry cloud solutions
Go to Connectivity > Destinations
Click on "New Destination"
Create a new destination using the "Blank Template" view
1. Name: Enter a name for the destination as Cloud_ALM
2. Type: HTTP
3. URL: SAP Cloud ALM service key parameter "Endpoints" > "Api" without api (make sure to keep the / at the end)
4. Authentication: Select 'OAuth2ClientCredentials'
5. Client ID: SAP Cloud ALM service key parameter "clientid"
6. Client Secret: SAP Cloud ALM service key parameter "clientsecret"
7. Token Service URL: SAP Cloud ALM service key parameter "uaa" > "url" + /oauth/token
8. Add a new property named property systemRole with either the value PROD or TEST to the destination
Save the destination

A job, running hourly in data ingestion for industry cloud solutions, will recognize that the destination Cloud_ALM exists and trigger the registration in SAP Cloud ALM. This means, there can be a one-hour delay between the creation of the registration and the start of the monitoring.

Next Steps

After setting up the monitoring PUSH to SAP Cloud ALM in the managed service, the data collection for the use-cases selected in the communication scenarios will be activated automatically with default monitoring configurations.
