The Operations Automation service integrates with

  • SAP Build Process Automation running in a separate SAP Build Process Automation tenant. SAP Build Process Automation allows to develop  workflows, processes  and automations with low-code/no-code capabilities. The integration with SAP Build Process Automation is best suited to orchestrate and automate operational tasks that require mixtures of user interactions and automated tasks or to  automate repetitive UI interactions.
  • SAP Automation Pilot running in a separate tenant. 
    The integration with SAP Automation Pilot is best suited to automate devops tasks.
  • any external 3rd party automation engine that provides the required rest APIs.

SAP Build Process Automations Workflows and Automations ,  SAP Automation Pilot commands as well as 3rd party automations that are triggered from SAP Cloud ALM are named "Operation Flows" in SAP Cloud ALM.

These operation flows can be triggered from SAP Cloud ALM either manually or automatically based on an event, for example a specific alert.
