SAP APPLICATION INTERFACE FRAMEWORK 1.0 restricted runtime

Installation

SAP Application Interface Framework 1.0 restricted runtime is an add-on to SAP NetWeaver. The product consists of the following two software components:

AIF 702 based on SAP NetWeaver 7.00 or higher: This software component is the successor of AIF 701 and contains the main functionality of SAP Application Interface Framework 3.0.
AIFX 702 based on SAP NetWeaver 7.31 or higher: This optional software component contains additional functionalities and is the successor of AIFX 701.

SAP Application Interface Framework 1.0 restricted runtime enables you to develop and monitor interfaces as well as execute error handling in a single framework. For detailed installation information, see SAP Notes 2071823(opens in new tab) (AIF 702) and 2071952(opens in new tab) (AIFX 702).

This version is restricted to the usage of SAP-delivered interfaces; all AIF namespaces starting with the character ‘/’ are protected against change, no interface in customer-specific namespaces are allowed (see SAP note 2293938(opens in new tab) for details).
