SAP S/4HANA 1610 Fully-Activated Software Appliance
General Information
SAP S/4HANA 1610 fully-activated software appliance consists of a preinstalled SAP S/4HANA, On-Premise system landscape and pre-activated SAP Best Practices customizing as well as sample data, for the release version 1610 FPS00.
The SAP S/4HANA 1610 Fully Activated Appliance consists of the following software entities:
1. SAP NetWeaver 7.51 application server ABAP incl. SAP S/4HANA 1610 (incl. SAP HANA 1.0 database)
2. SAP NetWeaver 7.50 application server JAVA with Adobe Document Services installed (SAP Sybase ASE 16.0 as database)
Preconditions
You need to provide your own hardware with Linux pre-installed to host the software appliance (the SAP software components as mentioned above will be deployed on this hardware during the installation process).
A sizing proposal is contained in the documentation (see below) or else you can follow the regular SAP S/4HANA sizing recommendations (please see here).
Procedure
Generic installation of software appliances
After download of the appliance, you extract it on your prepared hardware using SAP SWPM. An adaptation to your own host name and system ID is also possible. Specific steps for SAP S/4HANA 1610
After the technical deployment, a few functional post-installation steps are required before you can log on to the appliance.
