  • Onboard SAP Enterprise Threat Detection, cloud edition in your SAP BTP Global Account
  • If your company has more than one SAP BTP Global Account, please ensure to check the correct account for the service
  • To integrate your systems with SAP Enterprise Threat Detection, cloud edition, you might need to install a local, but central agent, called SAP Enterprise Threat Detection log collector

Short Guide about Log Collector need and installation

  • The log collector serves as the critical bridge between your on-premise or hybrid system landscape and the cloud-based SAP Enterprise Threat Detection engine, ensuring encrypted, reliable log forwarding while SAP Enterprise Threat Detection handles normalization, enrichment, and threat detection centrally.
  • For SAP S/4HANA Cloud, only connections, the Log Collector is not required.
  • Use SAP S/4HANA Direct Integration to send logs and master data to SAP Enterprise Threat Detection, cloud edition.

Log Collector Installation Options

  • On-premise installation: For on-premise, RISE with SAP, and mixed landscapes where systems share the same network segment as the Log Collector endpoint. The software is available at no additional license cost.
  • Installation in RISE with SAP: For SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Private Edition, and mixed landscapes, especially when all SAP systems run in RISE with no remaining on-premise SAP landscape.
    • Requires a separate paid Log Collector SKU for RISE; SAP operates, monitors, and maintains it.
