Operation Automation - Setup & Configuration

Setup

To setup Operation Automation, please follow the configuration guides provided for each of the supported SAP Cloud BTP services:

Usage

The following describes how to use operation automation in the context of the different applications:

Automated trigger of operation flows for alerts

If an operation flow instance was triggered automatically by an Event processing rule for an alert you can see the status of the triggered operation flow instance in the Alert Details under Operation Automation logs

Manual trigger of alert reaction operation flows from alert inbox

As an alert processor you can trigger operation flows manually from the alert details screen as follows:

  1. Select Actions --> Start operation flow.
  2. Select the trigger icon besides the relevant operation flow definition.

Afterwards you can see the status of the triggered operation flow instance in the Alert Details under Operation Automation logs.

If the value help is empty, you need to register a workflow definition and assign it to the selected use case.
