Business Process Monitoring

  • Provides transparency on end-to-end business processes within a distributed and hybrid solution landscape
  • Ensures smooth business operations without disruptions and increases the business process execution quality and performance
  • Monitors processes' health and detect anomalies during process execution including drill down in business documents
  • Alerts users directly on process disruptions and offers automated problem resolution via built-in operation flows

Synthetic User Monitoring

  • Synthetic User Monitoring monitoring is based on scenario that reproduce typical end user access to a web application to monitor
  • As the scenarios are based custom Selenium IDE scripts, most of the web applications are supported.
  • Proactive detection: Scenarios are regularly executed on Selenium remote webdriver infrastructures. This 24/7 monitoring enables you to detect performance and availability issues early, potentially before the end-users face them.
  • Factual metrics: monitoring relies on the same scenarios being re-executed. This allows you to monitor the evolution of the performance and availability based on comparable metrics.

Job & Automation Monitoring

  • Job & Automation Monitoring ensures business operations without disruptions and increases the business process execution quality and performance:
    • by monitoring job executions health and detection of anomalies during job execution
    • by directly alerting both business and IT users on disruptions and exceptions
    • by providing details at job execution level to enable fact based root cause analysis
    • by reducing configuration effort by making use of historical execution information
  • Job & Automation Monitoring is planned to be enhanced with operation flows to trigger corrective actions e.g. job restarts and job & automation analytics to enable trend analysis based on historical data

Configuration & Security Analysis

  • In the Configuration & Security Analysis application you can display the configuration items of the technical configuration using Store Browser. Changes you can display the evaluated changes on items in time frames. Administration provides information about the managed systems and their status in Configuration & Security Analysis.
  • Configuration & Security Analysis detects and records common technical changes in a managed system. A change tracking is performed during upload of the extracted configuration information.

Health Monitoring

  • Visualizes the health of cloud services and systems to identify service disruptions or degradations​
  • Allows to execute application health checks for SAP cloud services to check status of persistency, jobs, connectivity, …​
  • Supports health checks for customer built cloud services and on-prem systems including trends and usage metrics​

  • ​Provides embedded analytics to identify the root cause of discovered problem​
  • Health Monitoring is planned to be enhanced with embedded alerting including pre-defined operation flows to trigger corrective actions e.g. service restarts​


Business Service Management

  • Business service as collection of technical services (cloud service tenants or system clients) to represent business functionality
  • Definition of customer specific maintenance events at business service level
  • Propagation of externally communicated maintenance, disruptions or degradation events e.g. as exposed by Cloud Availability Center from technical services to business services as resulting business up/down times
  • Definition of service times based on service level agreements/ service contracts on business service level -> Measurement of actual availabilities at technical service level and consolidation to business service level -> Calculation of compliance to defined SLA's on business service level
  • IT related events e.g. maintenance notification defined at business service level will be cascaded down to technical service level e.g. users of involved technical services will receive maintenance notification

Intelligent Event Processing

  • Intelligent and unified processing of events coming from SAP Cloud ALM, other SAP sources or 3rd party senders (inbound unification)
  • Centralized and simplified configuration for event handling and routing rules (outbound unification) e.g. usage of same communication rules for alerting & business service management
