System Details Page

Check details and manage your system on the System Details(opens in new tab) page.

Procedure

  1. From the sidebar, select Systems & Provisioning → Systems tab.
  2. Select an item in the System column of any card to go to the system details page.

Which cards are shown and which functionalities are offered on the system details page depends on the selected system – for instance whether it is a public cloud, private cloud, or on-premise system.

Required Authorization

To access a system details page you must have the authorization Display System Data or Edit System Data, which an administrator in your company can grant you.


 

Header

Depending on the selected system, the following information is shown in the system details page header:

  • System number
    For on-premise or private cloud systems, select System Number to enter the system data application where you find more information.
  • System name
  • System ID
  • System Role
    Such as Production, Test, Development, Backup, Demo or Training.
  • Customer
  • Leading Software Product
  • Installation
    Select Installation to go to the Installation Management application.
     

Cards

Depending on the selected system, the following cards are shown on the system details page, grouped into the above-mentioned tabs:

  • 12 Month Availability and Events card (under Availability)
    • Monthly events chart: On the top of the card, see monthly events that affected availability.
    • Select a month to see events that affected availability for that month.
    • Select an Event ID to enter the event details page.
  • Administration Information card (under General)
    Check creation and last change information, or the deletion log. Note that details about deletion are only available for systems deleted after April 2017.
  • BTP System Details card (under General)
  • Cloud Details card (under General)
    • Select Launch System to open the link to the system. 
    • Select Start Configuration to open the administrator link and enter the configuration console. 
  • Communicated Availability card (under Availability)
    Check communicated availability for the previous and current months. If SAP fails to meet the service level agreement (SLA) outlined in your cloud contract, you can make a compensation claim on the card and, once you have submitted the request, track its status. Report Incident authorization is required for requesting credit claims.
  • Contracts card (under Document Flow)
    For a public cloud system, the card lists the contracts and orders.
  • Global Account Administrators card (under General)
    Lists global account administrators for the selected SAP Business Technology Platform system.
  • Installed Software Product (Version) card (under General)
    Shows leading product version, standalone product version and add-on product version for the system.
  • Provisioning Details card (under Document Flow)
    For a public cloud system, the card displays the technical details about its provisioning process including setup date and main IT contact at creation. For an entitlement tenant out of a product package, select Manage Applications to navigate to the product package applications tab in Portfolio & Products dashboard. 
  • Related Bundles card (under Bundles)
    A list of bundles this system is contained in.
  • SAP Cloud Identity Services Administrators card (under General)
    Lists identity authentication administrators for the selected SAP Cloud Identity Services system.
  • SAP Enterprise Cloud Services card (under General)
    A list of external resources that are relevant for customers with an SAP Enterprise Cloud Services solution.
  • Software Component Version and Support Packages card (under General)
    A list of Software component version and support packages that have been installed in the system. 
  • Subsystems card (under System Relationships)
  • In addition to the main system, SAP cloud products can have additional subsystems that represent individual components of the product.
  • System Measurement Relevancy Details card (under System Measurement)
    Specify if the on-premise system is relevant for system measurement or not.
  • System-specific SAP Notes/KBAs card (under Support)
    Proactively informs you about risks that potentially threaten the systems. Select a Number to see the details of the SAP Note or Knowledge Base Article (KBA).

Buttons

Depending on the selected system and your authorizations, the following features are offered in the system details page header:

  • Select Rename if you want to submit a service request to have SAP rename your cloud system or change its ID. This is not offered for SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) systems. In a corporate hierarchy, you can rename your company's systems, but not those of other subsidiaries.
    Note: To rename a system, authorization Create Service Request or Create Billable Service Request is required.
  • Select License Key to request a new or change or extend an existing license key for your on-premise system.
    Note: This requires the authorization Request License Key.
  • Select Remote Connection to maintain a remote connection between your system and SAP, which gives SAP support engineers remote access so they can deliver a service or troubleshoot an issue.
    Note: You need the authorization Open Remote Connections.
  • Select Edit to update details for your on-premise system, for instance the software product version installed on the system, or information on routers, application and other servers.
    Note: This requires the authorization Edit System Data.
  • Select Delete to delete the system. Open cases reported for the system have to be closed as they can no longer be processed.
    Note: To delete a system, both authorizations Edit System Data and Request License Key are required.
  • Select Reactivate to reactivate a deleted system, including its license keys. Both authorizations Edit System Data and Request License Key are required.
  • If the auto-determined Leading Software Product value is incorrect, change it using Edit.
