Private Cloud Consumption Card

The Private Cloud Consumption card lets you understand your subscriptions across your SAP Private Cloud products.

Procedure

  1. Go to Customer Dashboards → Finance & Legal → Consumption tab → Private Cloud Consumption card.
The table contains information about the number of subscribed and metered products with respective metric description and ID. All negative values are displayed in the Delta column and indicate potential overuse. The values are marked with an orange exclamation mark icon.
  2. In the filter bar (above the list), select the contract type you are interested in.
  3. In the filter bar, select the respective submission date to display metering results from previous months.
  4. Open the menu to access additional functionalities such as detailed view of results per installation, system metering configuration and more.
  5. In the Metric column you can see this information:
    • Metric name and (in brackets) metric ID:
Select the respective metric ID to open a customer information sheet on the SAP Cloud Metering page (Users(opens in new tab), Engines(opens in new tab)) on the SAP Support Portal with additional information about the particular Metric ID and the metering method.
    • Open Historical View icon:
Click this icon to open the historical view consumption by time frame, licensed and metered quantity based on different values for cumulated or monthly data.

The engine metering is divided into two different areas – one area is the automated, SAP system supported metering and the other, is the self-declaration of products, of which the usage cannot be determined automatically.
  6. Select the > arrow to the left of a row to expand the row and find a list of material numbers assigned to a metric. Each material number has a direct link to the product details page under the Portfolio & Products dashboard.
  7. By clicking on the information button under the column Aggregation Rules a pop up with additional metric information is displayed.
  8. By clicking on the value in the Subscribed column, a list with orders is displayed.
  9. By clicking on the value in the Metered column, additional details to the Full Use Equivalent (FUE) metric is displayed.

You can verify the results for Core systems using SAP Note 3113382(opens in new tab). To ensure data accuracy, make sure to use the latest version of the note before running report SLIM_USER_CLF_HELP in your Private Cloud Core systems. Additionally, refer to SAP Note 3333812(opens in new tab) to verify the number of metered developers.

To ensure accurate FUE counting for ERP systems, it is essential to implement SAP Note 3568419 - New Measurement Tool for Private Cloud for SAP_BASIS 751, 750, and 740 Correction, which addresses a known issue in ERP systems.

If you have any questions regarding the FUE numbers, please submit a support ticket using component XX-SER-FORME.
