Side-Effects of SAP Notes

When applying support packages, some SAP Notes may cause harmful side-effects in other areas of your SAP system. When SAP identifies this situation, to correct the side-effect problem a new SAP Note will be created and included in a future support package.

  • If you are planning to apply one single support package, the Support Package Overview page in the Software Downloads application gives an indication on which additional notes you need to apply to correct any side-effect conditions.
  • In case a more complex system upgrade is planned, the Maintenance Planner is the right tool.
