SAP Price Lists in the System Measurement Program

To classify users in the system, the corresponding SAP price list must first be activated in the system measurement program (transaction code USMM).

To classify your named users correctly you need to know the SAP price list and the SAP user types applicable for your SAP contract.

You can find the relevant SAP price list in the system measurement request e-mail. In the tables below, all available user types are listed per SAP price list. 

01 - Software Component - User Type Descriptions

On production clients all unclassified users are counted with the respective default user type.

The default user type of the SAP price list Software Component is: ID 01 - Operational

IDUser TypeDescription
01OperationalAn Operational (OP) user is an individual authorized to access the licensed software to execute, create, read, update, and delete SAP software transactions. This user can also make changes to the database.
02InformationAn Information (IN) user is an individual authorized to access the licensed software solely to perform read-only SAP transactions. This user cannot make any changes to existing data or add any new data.
03Request/Confirmation

A Requisitions/Confirmations (A/R) user is an individual authorized to access the licensed software solely for the purpose of

  • Submitting purchase requisitions (MM)
  • Entering order confirmations (PP)
04Substitute

A Substitute user can be created in the SAP system only for a limited period of time (for example, to cover for an absent colleague). During this time, this user can use the functions of another user, as a substitute. The “absent” user may not work actively in the SAP system during this time.

Substitute and substituted users must be created in the same client.

The substitute user is free of charge since the other user has already been evaluated according to the assignment.

05Basis-only

A Basis-Only user is an individual authorized to access the licensed software solely for the purpose of executing the following transactions:

  • Document management, including optical archiving
  • Monitoring and administration of the software
  • All transactions contained in the licensed Human Resources functions
  • All Enterprise Office/HR user transactions solely for the individual's own purposes
  • All transactions contained in the licensed IS Health Care functions, as long as the sales unit is not IS-H users

The Basis-Only user is authorized to use the runtime environment for applications developed in-house.

06Development WorkbenchA Development Workbench (DW) user is an individual authorized to use the ABAP Workbench. ABAP Workbench user authorization is required to create workflow definitions. At least one DW user must be classified per installation.
07Enterprise Human Resource (EHR)

An Enterprise Office/HR (EHR) user is an individual authorized to access the licensed software solely for the purpose of executing the following transactions:

  • Employee records maintenance,
  • Employee time and attendance entry,
  • Employee travel planning and expense report filing,
  • Employee directory,
  • Employee training registration,
  • Internal job advertisements,
  • Calendar functions,
  • Employee-specific purchase requisitions,
  • E-mail including document filing

Each Enterprise Office/HR user may execute the above transactions solely for such individual's own purposes, and may not execute transactions for or on behalf of other individuals.

11Multiclient/-system user

The Multiclient/-system user is for users that are already classified in one client or system as chargeable users. Since the chargeable user is evaluated according to its assignment, the multiclient/-system user is free of charge.

Every multiclient/-system user that is created in a client or system must be assigned to a chargeable user in the same or another system, and may use at most the functions of that system.

Note: This user type becomes obsolete, if the LAW is used to consolidate the users. 

20SAP APO: G.ATPAn APO Global Available-to-Promise (APO-G.ATP) user is an individual authorized to access Global ATP.
21SAP APO: PP/DS

An APO Production Planner (APO-PP/DS) user is an individual authorized to access:

  • Supply Chain Cockpit,
  • Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling,
  • Global ATP.
22SAP APO: SCP

An APO Supply Chain Planner (APO-SCP) user is an individual authorized to access:

  • Demand Planning,
  • Supply Network Planning and Deployment,
  • Supply Chain Cockpit,
  • Clear-to-build / Backorder Re-Scheduling.
23SAP APO: COLL

An APO Collaborative Planner (APO-COLL) user is an individual authorized to access:

  • Collaborative Demand Planning,
  • Collaborative Supply Planning,
  • Collaborative Procurement,
  • Collaborative Transportation Planning/Tendering.
24SAP APO: TPAn APO Transportation Planner (APO-TP) user is an individual authorized to access Supply Chain Cockpit and Vehicle Scheduling including Collaborative Transportation Planning/Tendering.
25SAP B2B Proc.: Purchaser

A Business-to-Business Procurement Purchase (BBP) user is an individual (employee of licensee, affiliates, or identifiable supply chain third parties) authorized by the customer to access the licensed SAP Business-to-Business product and use it for commercial purposes (like OP).

26SAP B2B Proc.: Requisitioner

A Business-to-Business Procurement Requisition user is an individual (employee of licensee, affiliates, or identifiable supply chain third parties) authorized by the customer to access the licensed SAP Business-to-Business product and use it solely for such individual's own purposes (like EHR).

30SAP BWA Business Information Warehouse (BW) user is an individual (employee of licensee, affiliates, or identifiable supply chain third parties) authorized by the customer to access the licensed SAP Business Information Warehouse product.
33SAP CRM category I

This user type is a named user with line management responsibility who can perform at least one of the planning and decision-making roles supported by the software.

The CRM Category I user license includes the rights granted under a SAP CRM Category II user license.

34SAP CRM Category II

An SAP Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Category II user is a Named User who executes operational CRM roles supported by the software.

The CRM Category II license includes the rights granted under a CRM Category III license.

35SAP CRM Category IIIAn SAP CRM Category III user is a Named User who executes restricted, operational CRM roles supported by the software. Especially employees of a third-party company (authorized third party) can be classified as SAP CRM Category III users.
38SAP SEMA Strategic Enterprise Management (SEM) user is an individual (employee of licensee, affiliates, or identifiable supply chain third parties) authorized by the customer to access the licensed SAP SEM product.
40SAP CFM: TM (inkl. OP)A user of SAP Corporate Finance Management Transaction Manager (SAP CFM: TM) is authorized to execute Financial Transactions in CFM.
41SAP CFM: MR (inkl. CFM TM)A user of SAP CFM Market Risk Analyzer (SAP CFM: MR) is authorized to use Market Risk Analysis.
42SAP CFM: CR (inkl. CFM TM)A user of SAP CFM Credit Risk Analyzer (SAP CFM: CR) is authorized to use Credit Risk.

The SAP Web Application Server Full Usage license is used to run a custom-developed or 3rd party application that is outside of the supported business scenario and does neither constitute a modification nor an enhancement.
61SAP Mobile Engine User

An SAP Mobile Engine user is a Named User who may use the applications of the SAP Mobile Engine.
SAP Mobile Engine provides a platform independent framework for mobile scenarios, including mobile devices, such as palmtop computers, Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) and laptops.

A SAP Mobile Engine user includes the rights granted under a SAP Web AS User license.

62SAP Banking UserAn SAP Banking User is a Named User solely authorized to access the specified industry packages for banks. Banking Users are not entitled to access other SAP solutions or solution components.
63SAP NetWeaver Developer User

The SAP NetWeaver Developer user is a Named User who uses the development and administration tools provided with SAP NetWeaver for the purpose of modifying, deploying and managing SAP or third party applications or for the purpose of creating, modifying, deploying and managing custom developed applications.

The SAP NetWeaver Developer user includes the rights granted under the SAP NetWeaver Professional user.

64SAP NetWeaver Administrator User
(SAP NetWeaver Professional)

An SAP NetWeaver Administrator User is a Named User who is authorized (only where the SAP NetWeaver Foundation for Third Party Applications Software is licensed) to access the development tools provided with such Software for the purpose of administering and managing applications

  • that are not licensed from SAP SE, any SAP SE distributor(s), or any authorized resellers of SAP SE or its distributor(s) and
  • for which Licensee has first secured all appropriate rights from any applicable licensor(s).
65SAP NetWeaver UserAn SAP NetWeaver User is a Named User who is authorized to run the licensed SAP NetWeaver applications including modifications and enhancements to SAP R/3 and integration of SAP R/3 with 3rd party applications, but excluding 3rd party to 3rd party integration.
91Test

Test users can be created in production systems only in the following instances:

  • No test system is available
  • Usage is exclusively for productive preparation of modules that are not yet productive in the production system.

The classification of test users must be agreed with SAP.

71 - 89Special module type user 1 - 19

Special module type users are individuals who use special SAP functions not contained in the standard system and for whom an individual contractual rule holds.

Note: Overwrite the special module users used, and name them clearly.

 

02 - SAP Business Suite - User Type Descriptions

On production clients all unclassified users are counted with the respective default user type.

The default user type of the SAP price list SAP Business Suite is: ID 52 - mySAP Professional (Cat. II)

This user type is a named user with line management responsibility who can perform at least one of the planning and decision-making roles supported by the software.

The mySAP.com Category I user license includes the rights granted under a SAP Professional user license.

52SAP Business Suite Professional User
(mySAP Category II / Professional)

An SAP Business Suite Professional User is a Named User authorized to perform operational related and system administration / management roles supported by the licensed Software (excluding SBOP). 

The SAP Business Suite Professional User includes the rights granted under the SAP Business Suite/ individual SAP solution Limited Professional User.

53SAP Business Suite Limited Professional User
(mySAP Category III / Limited Professional)

An SAP Business Suite Limited Professional User is a Named User authorized to perform limited operational roles supported by the licensed Software (excluding SBOP).

The SAP Business Suite Limited Professional User includes the rights granted under the SAP Business Suite Business Information User.

The license agreement should define in detail the limited use rights being performed by such Limited Professional User.

54SAP Business Suite Employee User
(mySAP Category IV / Employee)

An SAP Business Suite Employee User is a Named User authorized to perform the following roles supported by the licensed Software (excluding SBOP), all solely for such individual's own purpose and not for or on behalf of other individuals:

  • Use (excluding the right to modify and/or customize) standard and interactive reports delivered with the licensed Software, 
  • perform talent management self-services (including employee appraisals, employee development plans, employee training registration, and employee opportunity inquiry and response), 
  • travel planning / expense reporting self services, 
  • perform desktop procurement self services, and 
  • room reservation self-services. 

Each SAP Business Suite Employee User also includes the rights granted under the SAP Business Suite ESS User.

55SAP Business Suite Developer User
(mySAP Business Suite Developer) (if licensed)

An SAP Business Suite Developer User is a Named User authorized to access the development tools provided with the licensed Software for the purpose of modifying the licensed Software.

The SAP Business Suite Developer User includes the rights granted under the SAP NetWeaver Developer User and SAP Business Suite Employee User.

56SAP Business Suite Employee Self-Service User

An SAP Business Suite Employee Self-Service User is a Named User authorized to perform the Human Resource self-services role of employee time and attendance entry supported by the licensed Software (excluding SBOP), all solely for such individual's own purpose and not for or on behalf of other individuals.

The SAP Business Suite ESS User includes the rights granted under the SAP Business Suite Employee Self-Service Core User and the SAP Human Capital Performance Management User. 

57SAP Business Suite Business Expert User

An SAP Business Suite Business Expert User is a Named User authorized to perform all roles supported by SBOP (excluding modifying SBOP).

The SAP Business Suite Business Expert Userincludes the rights granted under the SAP Business Suite Professional User.

58SAP Business Suite Business Information User

An SAP Business Suite Business Information User is a Named User authorized to Use (excluding the right to modify and/or customize) standard and interactive reports delivered with the licensed Software, and reports created through Use of the licensed Software by appropriately licensed Named Users, solely for such individual's own purposes and not for or on behalf of other individuals.

The SAP Business Suite Business Information User includes the rights granted under the SAP Business Suite Employee User.

59SAP Business Suite ESS Core

An SAP Business Suite Employee Self-Service Core User is a Named User authorized to perform the following HR self-services roles supported by the licensed Software (excluding SBOP), all solely for such individual's own purpose and not for or on behalf of other individuals:

  • employee records maintenance, 
  • employee directory, 
  • benefits and payment and 
  • leave management. 

Further, an Employee Self-Service Core User is also authorized to access “Non-SAP Content” that resides on Licensee's “SAP Portal”, so long as accessing such Non-SAP Content does not require or result in any use of the licensed Software (beyond access to such Non-SAP Content as it resides on Licensee's SAP Portal). As used in this ESS Core User definition,

  • “Non-SAP Content” means information created through no use of the licensed Software and 
  • “SAP Portal” means any portal created by Licensee Using SAP Enterprise Portal Software (as provided with the licensed SAP NetWeaver Software) which provides appropriately licensed Named Users a common access point by which to use licensed SAP Software. 
60SAP Web AS UserAn SAP Web Application Server User applies only for SAP Web AS Full Usage license, if licensed per user.
The SAP Web Application Server Full Usage license is used to run a custom-developed or 3rd party application that is outside of the supported business scenario and does neither constitute a modification nor an enhancement.
61SAP Mobile Engine User

An SAP Mobile Engine user is a Named User who may use the applications of the SAP Mobile Engine.

An SAP NetWeaver Administrator User is a Named User who is authorized (only where the SAP NetWeaver Foundation for Third Party Applications Software is licensed) to access the development tools provided with such Software for the purpose of administering and managing applications

  • that are not licensed from SAP SE, any SAP SE distributor(s), or any authorized resellers of SAP SE or its distributor(s) and
  • for which Licensee has first secured all appropriate rights from any applicable licensor(s).
65SAP NetWeaver UserAn SAP NetWeaver User is a Named User who is authorized to run the licensed SAP NetWeaver applications including modifications and enhancements to SAP R/3 and integration of SAP R/3 with 3rd party applications, but excluding 3rd party to 3rd party integration.
66SAP NetWeaver Gateway User

An SAP NetWeaver Gateway User is a Named User who is authorized to Use licensed Software from the SAP Business Suite portfolio solely through a separate application that indirectly accesses the licensed Software via SAP NetWeaver Gateway.

Service calls through SAP NetWeaver Gateway may use stateless protocols only. A stateless protocol is one that treats each request for information as an independent transaction that is unrelated to any previous request so that the communication consists of independent pairs of requests and responses.

67SAP B2B Sales User

An SAP Business Suite B2B Sales User is a Named User who is an employee of Business Partners who is solely authorized to perform one or more of the following order management related roles supported by the licensed Software:

  • check product availability, 
  • configure an order, 
  • place an order, 
  • check order status, and 
  • order management activities related to items above.
68SAP IRPA UserBots created in SAP IRPA that execute tasks and interact with SAP applications in a fully automated way and independent of human involvement. Unattended bots can be triggered by events and can be scheduled.
69Unattended 3rd Party RPA UserBots created in a 3rd Party RPA application that execute tasks and interact with SAP applications in a fully automated way and independent of human involvement. Unattended bots can be triggered by events and can be scheduled.
91Test

Test users can be created in production systems only in the following instances:

  • No test system is available
  • Usage is exclusively for productive preparation of modules that are not yet productive in the production system.

The classification of test users must be agreed with SAP.

93 B2C User

If a B2C functionality has been licensed (e. g. sales orders) the user records of end customers can be classified as "B2C users". These user records must have been created automatically and in huge amounts within the B2C scenario.

The classification of B2C users must be agreed with SAP.

94SAP Analytics Backend Access User/SBOP Concurrent User

Some Analytics scenarios require the duplication of frontend user ids in the backend. If the backend user ID is created solely for the access of data which is covered by the front end user license, such backend user IDs may be classified with user type 94. A SAP license measurement (transaction USMM) in the backend will consider and count such user IDs, but user type 94 comes with no additional license costs.

Common scenarios:

  1. SAP Analytics Cloud user IDs may require duplication in backends such as SAP BW, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP S/4HANA (Cloud) or SAP NetWeaver. The user licenses have to be measured in the SAP Analytics Cloud system.
  2. SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform (SBOP BI) may require duplication in backends such as a SAP NetWeaver system (for replication into the SBOP BI system/ for “SAP R/3” authentication method in the SBOP BI system), regardless of user's access type in the SBOP BI system (Named Guaranteed – named user or Concurrent user / Limited by concurrent session pool).

The user licenses have to be measured in the SBOP BI system.

95External candidate e-recruitingIf an SAP e-recruiting functionality has been licensed the user records of persons not belonging to the company can be classified as "External candidate e-recruiting" user. The user records must have been created automatically and in huge amounts within the SAP e-recruiting solution. 
96CRM Engine User

For users who are working exclusively with the products CRM Sales or CRM Service. This user type is free of charge, because the licensing is covered by the following metric IDs:

  • ID 3352 , CRM Sales user
  • ID 3353 , CRM Sales, limited access user
  • ID 3357, CRM Service user
  • ID 3358, CRM Service, limited access user
97Multichannel Foundation UserIf a multichannel foundation functionality has been licensed (IS-Utilities) the user records of end customers can be classified as "Multichannel Foundation User". These user records must have been created automatically and in huge amounts within the multichannel foundation scenario.
98Engine-Only UserThis user type should be assigned to individuals who are not (and do not have to be) licensed for the use of SAP ECC, but need access to the SAP system exclusively in order to execute functionality of one or more licensed software packages (“Engines”).
71 - 89Special module type user 1 - 19

Special module type users are individuals who use special SAP functions not contained in the standard system and for whom an individual contractual rule holds.

Note: Overwrite the special module users used, and name them clearly.

DBSAP Platform Professional User

An SAP Platform Professional User is a Named User who

  • accesses the licensed SAP software only through a 3rd party application that either is a Platform User License Compliant Solution or that interface through enterprise services as defined in the Enterprise Service Repository provided by SAP or through BAPIs provided by SAP and 
  • performs operational related roles supported by the software. 

The SAP Platform Professional User license includes the rights granted under a SAP Platform Limited Professional User license. It also includes the rights granted under a user-based SAP NetWeaver Foundation for Third Party Applications license.

DCSAP Platform Limited Professional User  

An SAP Platform Limited Professional User is a Named User who 

  • accesses the licensed SAP software only through a 3rd party application that has been classified as a Platform User License Compliant Solution after an integration certification test  by the SAP Integration and Certification Center and 
  • performs limited operational related roles supported by the software. 

In particular employees of business third parties are to be licensed as Limited Professional Users. Those employees of business third parties that are performing functions or roles normally performed by the customer's employees, for example independent contractors, consultants or temporary employees need to be licensed as Professional Users.

The SAP Platform Limited Professional User license includes the rights granted under an SAP Platform Employee User license. It also includes the rights granted under a user-based SAP NetWeaver Foundation for Third Party Applications license.

DDSAP Platform Employee User

An SAP Platform Employee User is a Named User who

  • accesses the licensed SAP software only through a 3rd party application that has been classified as a Platform User License Compliant Solution after an integration certification test  by the SAP Integration and Certification Center and 
  • accesses the licensed software for the purpose of executing the following transactions: 
    • desktop procurement self-services, 
    • Travel planning and expense reporting, 
    • talent management self-services including employee profile, employee appraisals, employee development plans, employee training registration, employee opportunity inquiry and response, 
    • read-only analytics. 

Each Employee User shall access the software solely for such individual's own purposes and not for or on behalf of other individuals.

The SAP Platform Employee User license includes the rights granted under an SAP Platform ESS User license.

The SAP Platform Employee User license also includes an application-specific run-time license of SAP NetWeaver for the licensed SAP Applications as well as for the 3rd party application as long as use of this application remains limited to the transactions permitted by this user license.

DESAP Platform Employee Self-Service (ESS) User

An SAP Platform Employee Self-Service (ESS) User is a Named User who

  • accesses the licensed SAP software only through a 3rd party application that has been classified as a Platform User License Compliant Solution after an integration certification test  by the SAP Integration and Certification Center and 
  • accesses the licensed software solely for the purpose of executing the following HR self-services transactions: 
    • employee records maintenance, 
    • employee time and attendance entry, 
    • employee directory, 
    • benefits enrolment. 

Each Employee Self-Service (ESS) User shall access the software solely for such individual's own purposes and not for or on behalf of other individuals.

The SAP Platform Employee Self-Service (ESS) User license includes an application-specific run-time license of SAP NetWeaver for the licensed SAP Applications as well as for the 3rd party application as long as use of this application remains limited to the transactions permitted by this user license.

DISAP Platform Advanced User - Business Suite

An SAP Platform Advanced User - Business Suite is a Named User who is authorized to Use licensed Software solely through a separate application:

a) that

  • adds any new, independent functional components for business processes not contained by the SAP Software, 
  • is developed using a licensed SAP technology, and 
  • connects to and/or communicates through published SAP application program interfaces; and 

b) which shall in no case

  • enable the bypassing or circumventing of any of the restrictions set forth in the Agreement, 
  • provide Licensee with access to any Software to which Licensee is not licensed, and/or 
  • permit mass data or metadata extraction from SAP Software to non-SAP software for the purpose of creating a new system of record for that data or metadata.  

The SAP Platform Advanced User - Business Suite also includes the rights granted under the SAP Platform Standard User and SAP Platform Extended User.

DKSAP BS Platform Extended User

An SAP BS Platform Extended User is a Named User who is authorized to Use licensed Software solely through, and to the extent enabled by, one or more applications that

  • have been certified by SAP's Integration and Certification Center as a platform user compliant solution (“PULCS”) for SAP Platform Extended Users and 
  • Licensee has first secured all appropriate rights to use such PULCS application(s) from the applicable licensor(s) (i.e. no Software and/or third party software licensed from SAP SE, any SAP SE distributor(s), or any authorized resellers of SAP SE or its distributor(s), shall be considered a PULCS application for purposes of this Named User type, even if such applications are reflected on the PULCS Site). 

The SAP BS Platform Extended User includes an application-specific run-time license of SAP NetWeaver for the licensed SAP Applications as well as for the non-SAP application.

DLSAP BS Platform Standard User

An SAP BS Platform Standard User is a Named User who is authorized to Use licensed Software solely through, and to the extent enabled by, one or more applications that

  • have been certified by SAP's Integration and Certification Center as a platform user compliant solution (“PULCS”) for SAP Platform Standard Users and 
  • Licensee has first secured all appropriate rights to use such PULCS application(s) from the applicable licensor(s) (i.e. no Software and/or third party software licensed from SAP SE, any SAP SE distributor(s), or any authorized resellers of SAP SE or its distributor(s), shall be considered a PULCS application for purposes of this Named User type, even if such application(s) are reflected on the PULCS Site). 

The SAP BS Platform Standard User includes an application-specific run-time license of SAP NetWeaver for the licensed SAP Applications as well as for the non-SAP application.

DMSAP Platform UserAn SAP Platform User is a Named User authorized to Use licensed Software through a separate SAP, Partner or customer application that connects to and/or communicates with SAP Software through published SAP application programming inerfaces. 
DOSAP NetWeaver Gateway User for Productivity Apps

An SAP NetWeaver Gateway User for Productivity Apps is a Named User who is authorized to Use licensed Software solely through

  • one or more Productivity App(s) via SAP NetWeaver Gateway or 
  • Duet Enterprise.

As used in this section, Productivity Apps shall mean

  1. any SAP Mobile Applications and where licensed by Licensee under the Agreement on a per user basis, or 
  2. any Licensee owned/licensed mobile applications, provided such apps:
    • are only used by an individual to support one or more of the following self service functions on behalf of himself or herself (predefined reports, travel planning, expense reporting, procurement, room reservation, employee time, employee attendance, employee records maintenance, employee directory, employee benefits, employee appraisals, employee talent and skills profiles) (the “Self Service Functions”); and 
    • any interfacing of such apps with the Software and/or third party software licensed under the Agreement is limited to the extent necessary to support the Self Service Functions.
FASAP Learning User

An SAP Learning User is a Named User who is authorized to access solely the following learning solutions on SAP's price list, provided that those learning solutions are licensed. A SAP Learning User is not entitled to access other SAP solutions or solution components.

The applicable learning solutions offered by SAP comprise the following:

  • 7002075 SAP Learning Solution
  • 7003485 SAP Enterprise Learning Environment
  • 7009559 SAP Acrobat Connect Professional Learning by Adobe
  • 7009558 SAP Acrobat Connect Professional Meeting by Adobe
  • 7009560 SAP Productivity Pak by RWD - excl. North America
  • 7009561 SAP Productivity Pak Help Launch Pad by RWD - excl. North America
  • 7009562 SAP Productivity Composer by RWD - excl. North America
  • 7009563 SAP Productivity Composer Help Launch Pad by RWD - excl. North America
  • 7009639 SAP Productivity Pak by RWD - North America only

FBSAP E-Recruiting UserAn SAP E-Recruiting User is a Named User authorized to access the E-Recruiting engine only. E-Recruiting Users are not entitled to access other SAP solutions or solution components.
FCSAP Human Capital Performance Management User

An SAP Human Capital Performance Management User is a Named User authorized to access the licensed Software (excluding SBOP), all solely for such individual's own purpose and not for or on behalf of other individuals to maintain:

  • employee appraisals, 
  • talent and skill profiles, and 
  • profile match up.
FDSAP Manager Self-Service User

An SAP Manager Self-Service User is a Named User authorized to perform one or more of the following manager self-services roles directly related to the employees and business unit/department for which the manager is responsible, and supported by the licensed Software (excluding SBOP):

  • request administrative changes using processes and forms contained within Human Capital Management, 
  • create requisition requests and candidate assessments, 
  • perform talent assessments and appraisals, 
  • plan and approve compensation, 
  • view budget overviews, 
  • organize project management tasks, 
  • perform planning tasks, 
  • approve travel requests and expenses, and 
  • perform workflow tasks. 

The SAP Manager Self-Service User also includes the rights granted under the SAP Employee User.

FESAP Retail Store User

An SAP Retail Store User is a Named User working in Licensee's retail store as an associate who is solely authorized to perform non-managerial retail store / point-of-sale related roles supported by the licensed Software.

The SAP Retail Store User includes the rights granted under the SAP Application Employee User.

FFSAP Shop Floor oder Warehouse User

An SAP Shop Floor or Warehouse User is a Named User working in Licensee's shop or warehouse who is solely authorized to perform one or more of the following roles supported by the licensed Software:

  • confirm goods receipts, goods issues and stock movements, 
  • submit purchase requisitions, 
  • enter service requests, 
  • enter production order completion confirmations, and 
  • any activities related to any of the foregoing.  

The SAP Shop Floor or Warehouse User also includes the rights granted under the SAP Application Employee User.

FGSAP Maintenance Worker User

An SAP Maintenance Worker User is a Named User who is a maintenance worker solely authorized to perform one or more of the following roles supported by the licensed Software (excluding SBOP):

  • confirm maintenance notifications, 
  • enter time confirmations, goods issues, stock movements and completion confirmations into maintenance work orders, 
  • enter service requests and service request entry sheets, and 
  • any maintenance activities related to items above. 

The SAP Maintenance Worker User also includes the rights granted under the SAP Application Employee User.

FHSAP Engineering User

An SAP Engineering User is a Named User that is authorized to solely perform the following activities on data and objects accessed and made available through the licensed SAP Collaborative Product Development Package, collaboration Folders, or SAP Portfolio and Project Management application, excluding in all cases access to any data or objects by or through SBOP portfolio products:

  • Display, Redline, 3D Viewing
  • Request, Approve, Reject, Confirm
  • Change

The SAP Engineering User includes the rights granted under the SAP Application Visualization User. In the case of individuals who are employees of Licensee, the SAP Engineering User also includes the rights granted under the SAP Application Employee User.

FISAP Procurement Self-Service and Collaborator User

An SAP Procurement Self-Service and Collaborator User is a Named User who is authorized to perform the following self-service roles supported by the licensed Software (excluding SBOP), all solely for such individual's own purpose and not for or on behalf of other individuals to:

  • create shopping carts or requisitions, check, receive or collaborate items in a requisition,
  • request sourcing or contracting support, review and/or approve items, participate in RFX scoring, provide supplier feedback, view reports or search system content, and 
  • upload compliance information or recipe component information. 

The SAP Procurement Self-Service User includes the rights granted under the SAP Application ESS User.

FKSAP Partner Channel User

An SAP Partner Channel User is a Named User who is an employee of Business Partners who is solely authorized to perform one or more of the following channel management related roles supported by the licensed Software:

  • enter and update leads and opportunities, 
  • manage channel marketing fund requests and claims, 
  • manage service requests, warranty claims and complaints and 
  • channel management activities related to items above.
FLSAP Solution Extension Limited User

An SAP Solution Extension Limited User is a Named User solely authorized to use one (1) Third Party Solution licensed by SAP. SAP Solution Extension Limited Users are not entitled to access other SAP solutions, solution components, or data stored in such solutions. SAP Solution Extension Limited User can only be licensed to access the following product:

  • SAP extended ECM by OpenText and
  • SAP Digital Asset Management by OpenText. 
FMSAP CRM Rapid Deployment Edition User

An SAP CRM Rapid Deployment Edition User is a Named User solely authorized to

  • access the SAP CRM Rapid Deployment Edition and 
  • perform SAP ERP order-status checks through SAP CRM. 

Access to other SAP software requires a SAP Application Business Expert User, a SAP Application Professional User or a SAP Application Limited Professional User license.

The rights granted to a SAP CRM Rapid Deployment Edition User are included in the existing SAP Application Business Expert User, SAP Application Professional User and SAP Application Limited Professional User.

FNSAP Logistics User

An SAP Logistics User is a Named User solely authorized to perform following tasks for the applicable licensed Software (excluding SBOP):

  • Transportation Management: Looking up a freight contract, tracking a certain shipment and similar activities, update master data (rates, lanes, locations), Transportation request entry, transportation planning on, responding to RFP (request for proposal) for tendering viewing and confirmation of events, charge calculation verification and similar activities.
  • Warehousing: Confirm goods receipts and putaway, deconsolidation at goods receipt, picking at pick points, stock movements including replenishment, production staging and enter physical inventory counts, packing, or confirming VAS (value added services) and perform scheduling activities for dock door appointments. This is valid for employees that are working with radio frequency mobile devices as well as for employees that are executing operational activities similar to those stated above.
  • Track and Trace: Viewing a serialized and/or any tracked object on ad hoc basis, such as querying its current or past location or ascertaining product genealogy. User accessing product traceability solutions on an ad hoc basis to report goods movement or view traceability reports. Viewing the status of defined supply chain events, expected or unexpected, e.g. delayed shipment of a sales order, change to a purchase order confirmation. Perform confirmation or change to supply chain events, e.g. update a change to a production order date or quantity.

For Licensee employees, the SAP Logistics User includes the rights granted under the SAP Application Employee User.

FOSAP Shop Floor User

An SAP Shop Floor User is a Named User working in Licensee's production facilities who is solely authorized to perform one or more of the following roles supported by the licensed Software (excluding SBOP):

  • display work instructions, and document activities and operations, 
  • confirm goods receipts, goods issues and stock movements, 
  • enter production order confirmations, 
  • record product or production information, e.g. quality inspection results or plant/process/equipment data, 
  • enter production issues and related service requests, 
  • submit purchase requisitions for tools, spare parts for production equipment, etc. and 
  • reporting or dash boarding related to items above. 

The SAP Shop Floor User includes the rights granted under the SAP Application Employee User and SAP Application Visualization User.

FPSAP CRM User

An SAP CRM User is a Named User only authorized to Use (excluding the right to make Modifications and/or Add-ons) CRM Software licensed under the Agreement (if any, the “Licensed CRM Software”).

An SAP CRM User may extract data from any data source into any Licensed CRM Software and/or push data out of any Licensed CRM Software into any data source provided Licensee has secured an appropriate license for all such data source(s) and such Use is otherwise in accord with the terms of the Agreement.

An additional SAP Named User License will not be required solely for the one-way extraction of data into Licensed CRM Software where the data source is Software (other than Licensed CRM Software) and/or third party software licensed under the Agreement.

FRSAP Application Visualization User

An SAP Application Visualization User is a Named User who is solely authorized to Use 

  • Visual Enterprise Generator, 
  • Visual Enterprise View Edition Generator, 
  • Visual Enterprise Generator .JT extension, 
  • Visual Enterprise Navigation & Analytics, 
  • Visual Enterprise Manufacturing, 
  • Visual Enterprise Service and Maintenance, 
  • Visual Enterprise Author, and 
  • Visual Enterprise ECAD Extension, subject to each Visual Enterprise component being licensed.  

The SAP Application Visualization User may not Use (including, without limitation, access any data stored in) any other Software or third party software licensed under this Agreement.

FSSAP Application Standalone Visualization User

An SAP Application Standalone Visualization User is a Named User who is solely authorized to Use

  • Visual Enterprise Generator, 
  • Visual Enterprise View Edition Generator, 
  • Visual Enterprise Generator .JT extension, (iv) Visual Enterprise Navigation & Analytics, 
  • Visual Enterprise Manufacturing, 
  • Visual Enterprise Service and Maintenance, 
  • Visual Enterprise Author, and 
  • Visual Enterprise ECAD Extension, subject to each Visual Enterprise component being licensed for Standalone Use. 

The SAP Application Standalone Visualization User may not Use (including, without limitation, access any data stored in) any other Software or third party software licensed under this Agreement.

FTSAP Clinical System UserAn SAP Clinical System User is a Named User solely authorized to access a clinical system. For the purpose of this definition a “clinical system” is defined as an IT application that supports the clinical process in a healthcare organization, where the clinical process is the process in which a patient interacts with doctors, nursing and technical personnel to be subjected to visits, diagnostic studies and/or therapeutic measures, that have the purpose of improving or maintaining the patient's health. A user of this type is required when a clinical system accesses functionalities that reside either in SAP Patient Management, in SAP Ambulatory Care Management or in SAP ERP. Clinical System Users are not entitled to access any other SAP solution or solution component, in particular they are not authorized to access SAP Patient Management.
FUSAP Health Care User

An SAP Health Care User is a Named User working in Licensee's organization's hospital wards or outpatient clinics as an associate who is solely authorized to perform patient care related roles supported by the licensed software and is solely authorized to access the following industry packages for Health Care:

  • SAP Patient Management,
  • SAP Ambulatory Care Management and
  • SAP Supplier Relationship Management & Logistics for Health Care,

provided this industry packages are licensed, and third party or in-house developed hospital information systems.

For the purpose of this definition a hospital information system is defined as an IT application that supports the patient administrative process in a healthcare organization, where the patient administrative process is the process in which patients interact with personnel of the healthcare organization in order to plan, execute or pay for the treatment they need.

A user of this type is required when a hospital information system accesses functionalities that reside either in SAP Patient Management, in SAP Ambulatory Care Management or in SAP ERP. Within the SAP Patient Management industry package the SAP Health Care User is authorized to access all functionalities with the exception of the billing component.

The SAP Health Care user includes the rights granted under the SAP Clinical System User and the SAP Application Employee Self-Service User.

SAP Health Care Users are not entitled to access any other SAP solution or solution component, in particular they are not authorized to access SAP ERP and SAP BW functionalities.

FVSAP Industry Portfolio User

An SAP Industry Portfolio User is a Named User solely authorized to access the specified industry packages on SAP's price list, provided that those packages are licensed. The SAP Industry Portfolio User is not entitled to access other SAP solutions or solution components.

The SAP Industry Portfolio User includes the rights granted under the SAP Employee User.

External business partners in the industries Insurance, Media and Automotive collaborating with the Licensee need to be licensed as SAP Industry Portfolio Users. Those business partners are not entitled to access other SAP solutions or solution components besides the specified industry packages.

FWSAP Project User

An SAP Project User is a Named User authorized to perform one or more of the following roles supported by the licensed Software (excluding SBOP): 

  • project management, including project-related resource management, project-related creation, change and display of quotation, order and billing in SAP ERP, accounting on individual projects, creation of project-related purchase requests, purchase orders and service entry sheets, 
  • product and project related reporting, 
  • managing project-related revenues and expenses 
  • viewing Accounts Receivable (A/R) General Ledger (G/L) postings, 
  • controlling access and releasing product data and recipes in collaborative product development scenarios, 
  • viewing and approving changes through engineering records, 
  • managing change through engineering records, 
  • collaborating in cFolders and 
  • interfaces to 3rd party authorized authoring tools.

The SAP Project User includes the rights granted under the SAP Manager Self-Service User.

FXSAP Worker User

An SAP Worker User is a Named User working in Licensee's production facilities or as a maintenance worker who is solely authorized to perform one or more of the following roles supported by the licensed Software (excluding SBOP):

  • display work instructions, and document activities and operations,
  • confirm goods receipts, goods issues, stock movements and completion confirmations into maintenance work orders,
  • enter production order confirmations,
  • record product or production information, e.g. quality inspection results or plant/process/equipment data,
  • enter production issues and related service requests,
  • submit purchase requisitions for tools, spare parts for production equipment, etc. 
  • confirm maintenance notifications,
  • enter service requests and service entry sheet,
  • any maintenance activities, reporting or dash-boarding related to the items set forth above.

The SAP Worker User includes the rights granted under the SAP Employee User.

FYSAP Business Partner UserAn SAP Business Partner User is a Named User who is an employee of a Business Partner accessing the licensed Software solely to perform operational related tasks within standard business-to-business scenarios.

03 - SAP Individual Solutions - User Type Descriptions

On production clients all unclassified users are counted with the respective default user type.

The default user type of the SAP price list SAP Individual Solutions depends on the licensed solution and must be chosen from the list, either:

  • ID AX - SAP ERP Professional 
  • ID AA - SAP CRM Professional 
  • ID AC - SAP SCM Professional 
  • ID AE - SAP SRM Professional 
  • ID AH - SAP PLM Professional

04Substitute

A Substitute user can be created in the SAP system only for a limited period of time (for example, to cover for an absent colleague). During this time, this user can use the functions of another user, as a substitute. The “absent” user may not work actively in the SAP system during this time.

Substitute and substituted users must be created in the same client.

The substitute user is free of charge since the other user has already been evaluated according to the assignment.

11Multiclient/-system user

The Multiclient/-system user is for users that are already classified in one client or system as chargeable users. Since the chargeable user is evaluated according to its assignment, the multiclient/-system user is free of charge.

Every multiclient/-system user that is created in a client or system must be assigned to a chargeable user in the same or another system, and may use at most the functions of that system.

Note: This user type becomes obsolete, if the LAW is used to consolidate the users. 

60SAP Web AS UserAn SAP Web Application Server User applies only for SAP Web AS Full Usage license, if licensed per user.
The SAP Web Application Server Full Usage license is used to run a custom-developed or 3rd party application that is outside of the supported business scenario and does neither constitute a modification nor an enhancement.
61SAP Mobile Engine User

An SAP Mobile Engine user is a Named User who may use the applications of the SAP Mobile Engine.
SAP Mobile Engine provides a platform independent framework for mobile scenarios, including mobile devices, such as palmtop computers, Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) and laptops.

A SAP Mobile Engine user includes the rights granted under a SAP Web AS User license.

62SAP Banking UserAn SAP Banking User is a Named User solely authorized to access the specified industry packages for banks. Banking Users are not entitled to access other SAP solutions or solution components.
63SAP NetWeaver Developer User

The SAP NetWeaver Developer user is a Named User who uses the development and administration tools provided with SAP NetWeaver for the purpose of modifying, deploying and managing SAP or third party applications or for the purpose of creating, modifying, deploying and managing custom developed applications.

The SAP NetWeaver Developer user includes the rights granted under the SAP NetWeaver Professional user.

64SAP NetWeaver Administrator User
(SAP NetWeaver Professional)

An SAP NetWeaver Administrator User is a Named User who is authorized (only where the SAP NetWeaver Foundation for Third Party Applications Software is licensed) to access the development tools provided with such Software for the purpose of administering and managing applications

  • that are not licensed from SAP SE, any SAP SE distributor(s), or any authorized resellers of SAP SE or its distributor(s) and
  • for which Licensee has first secured all appropriate rights from any applicable licensor(s).
65SAP NetWeaver UserAn SAP NetWeaver User is a Named User who is authorized to run the licensed SAP NetWeaver applications including modifications and enhancements to SAP R/3 and integration of SAP R/3 with 3rd party applications, but excluding 3rd party to 3rd party integration.
66SAP NetWeaver Gateway User

An SAP NetWeaver Gateway User is a Named User who is authorized to Use licensed Software from the SAP Business Suite portfolio solely through a separate application that indirectly accesses the licensed Software via SAP NetWeaver Gateway.

Service calls through SAP NetWeaver Gateway may use stateless protocols only. A stateless protocol is one that treats each request for information as an independent transaction that is unrelated to any previous request so that the communication consists of independent pairs of requests and responses.

67SAP B2B Sales User

An SAP Business Suite B2B Sales User is a Named User who is an employee of Business Partners who is solely authorized to perform one or more of the following order management related roles supported by the licensed Software:

  • check product availability, 
  • configure an order, 
  • place an order, 
  • check order status, and 
  • order management activities related to items above.
68SAP IRPA UserBots created in SAP IRPA that execute tasks and interact with SAP applications in a fully automated way and independent of human involvement. Unattended bots can be triggered by events and can be scheduled.
69Unattended 3rd Party RPA UserBots created in a 3rd Party RPA application that execute tasks and interact with SAP applications in a fully automated way and independent of human involvement. Unattended bots can be triggered by events and can be scheduled.
91Test

Test users can be created in production systems only in the following instances:

  • No test system is available
  • Usage is exclusively for productive preparation of modules that are not yet productive in the production system.

The classification of test users must be agreed with SAP.

93 B2C User

If a B2C functionality has been licensed (e. g. sales orders) the user records of end customers can be classified as "B2C users". These user records must have been created automatically and in huge amounts within the B2C scenario.

The classification of B2C users must be agreed with SAP.

94SAP Analytics Backend Access User/SBOP Concurrent User

Some Analytics scenarios require the duplication of frontend user ids in the backend. If the backend user ID is created solely for the access of data which is covered by the front end user license, such backend user IDs may be classified with user type 94. A SAP license measurement (transaction USMM) in the backend will consider and count such user IDs, but user type 94 comes with no additional license costs.

Common scenarios:

  1. SAP Analytics Cloud user IDs may require duplication in backends such as SAP BW, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP S/4HANA (Cloud) or SAP NetWeaver. The user licenses have to be measured in the SAP Analytics Cloud system.
  2. SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform (SBOP BI) may require duplication in backends such as a SAP NetWeaver system (for replication into the SBOP BI system/ for “SAP R/3” authentication method in the SBOP BI system), regardless of user's access type in the SBOP BI system (Named Guaranteed – named user or Concurrent user / Limited by concurrent session pool).

The user licenses have to be measured in the SBOP BI system.

95External candidate e-recruitingIf an SAP e-recruiting functionality has been licensed the user records of persons not belonging to the company can be classified as "External candidate e-recruiting" user. The user records must have been created automatically and in huge amounts within the SAP e-recruiting solution. 
96CRM Engine User

For users who are working exclusively with the products CRM Sales or CRM Service. This user type is free of charge, because the licensing is covered by the following metric IDs:

  • ID 3352 , CRM Sales user
  • ID 3353 , CRM Sales, limited access user
  • ID 3357, CRM Service user
  • ID 3358, CRM Service, limited access user
97Multichannel Foundation UserIf a multichannel foundation functionality has been licensed (IS-Utilities) the user records of end customers can be classified as "Multichannel Foundation User". These user records must have been created automatically and in huge amounts within the multichannel foundation scenario.
98Engine-Only UserThis user type should be assigned to individuals who are not (and do not have to be) licensed for the use of SAP ECC, but need access to the SAP system exclusively in order to execute functionality of one or more licensed software packages (“Engines”).
71 - 89Special module type user 1 - 19

Special module type users are individuals who use special SAP functions not contained in the standard system and for whom an individual contractual rule holds.

Note: Overwrite the special module users used, and name them clearly.

An SAP ERP Employee Self-Service (ESS) User is a Named User authorized to perform the following HR self-services roles supported by the licensed Software (excluding SBOP), all solely for such individual's own purpose and not for or on behalf of other individuals:

  • employee records maintenance, 
  • employee time and attendance entry, 
  • employee directory, and 
  • benefits enrollment. 

Further, an ESS User is also authorized to access “Non-SAP Content” that resides on Licensee's “SAP Portal”, so long as accessing such Non-SAP Content doesn't require or result in any Use of the licensed Software (beyond access to such Non-SAP Content as it resides on Licensee's SAP Portal). As used in this ESS User definition,

  • “Non-SAP Content” means information created through no Use of the licensed Software and 
  • “SAP Portal” means any portal created by Licensee Using SAP Enterprise Portal Software (as provided with the licensed SAP NetWeaver Software) which provides appropriately licensed Named Users a common access point by which to Use licensed SAP Software.
BLSAP ERP Business Expert User

Applies to ERP Solution only. 

An SAP Business Expert User is a Named User authorized to perform all roles supported by SBOP (excluding modifying SBOP).

The SAP Business Expert User includes the rights granted under the SAP Business Suite Professional User.

BMSAP ERP Business Information User

Applies to ERP Solution only. 

An SAP Business Information User is a Named User authorized to Use (excluding the right to modify and/or customize) standard and interactive reports delivered with the licensed Software, and reports created through Use of the licensed Software by appropriately licensed Named Users, solely for such individual's own purposes and not for or on behalf of other individuals.

The SAP Business Suite Business Information User also includes the rights granted under the SAP Business Suite Employee User.

BNSAP ERP Employee Self-Service (ESS) Core User

Applies to ERP Solution only. 

An SAP Employee Self-Service Core User is a Named User authorized to perform the following HR self-services roles supported by the licensed Software (excluding SBOP), all solely for such individual's own purpose and not for or on behalf of other individuals:

  • employee records maintenance, 
  • employee directory, 
  • benefits and payment, 
  • leave management and 
  • E-Recruiting. 

Further, an SAP Employee Self-Service (ESS) Core User is also authorized to access “Non-SAP Content” that resides on Licensee's “SAP Portal”, so long as accessing such Non-SAP Content does not require or result in any Use of the licensed Software (beyond access to such Non-SAP Content as it resides on Licensee's SAP Portal). As used in this ESS Core User definition,

  • “Non-SAP Content” means information created through no Use of the licensed Software and 
  • “SAP Portal” means any portal created by Licensee Using SAP Enterprise Portal Software (as provided with the licensed SAP NetWeaver Software) which provides appropriately licensed Named Users a common access point by which to Use licensed SAP Software.
DBSAP Platform Professional User

An SAP Platform Professional User is a Named User who

  • accesses the licensed SAP software only through a 3rd party application that either is a Platform User License Compliant Solution or that interface through enterprise services as defined in the Enterprise Service Repository provided by SAP or through BAPIs provided by SAP and 
  • performs operational related roles supported by the software. 

The SAP Platform Professional User license includes the rights granted under a SAP Platform Limited Professional User license. It also includes the rights granted under a user-based SAP NetWeaver Foundation for Third Party Applications license.

DCSAP Platform Limited Professional User  

An SAP Platform Limited Professional User is a Named User who 

  • accesses the licensed SAP software only through a 3rd party application that has been classified as a Platform User License Compliant Solution after an integration certification test  by the SAP Integration and Certification Center and 
  • performs limited operational related roles supported by the software. 

In particular employees of business third parties are to be licensed as Limited Professional Users. Those employees of business third parties that are performing functions or roles normally performed by the customer's employees, for example independent contractors, consultants or temporary employees need to be licensed as Professional Users.

The SAP Platform Limited Professional User license includes the rights granted under an SAP Platform Employee User license. It also includes the rights granted under a user-based SAP NetWeaver Foundation for Third Party Applications license.

DDSAP Platform Employee User

An SAP Platform Employee User is a Named User who

  • accesses the licensed SAP software only through a 3rd party application that has been classified as a Platform User License Compliant Solution after an integration certification test  by the SAP Integration and Certification Center and 
  • accesses the licensed software for the purpose of executing the following transactions: 
    • desktop procurement self-services, 
    • Travel planning and expense reporting, 
    • talent management self-services including employee profile, employee appraisals, employee development plans, employee training registration, employee opportunity inquiry and response, 
    • read-only analytics. 

Each Employee User shall access the software solely for such individual's own purposes and not for or on behalf of other individuals.

The SAP Platform Employee User license includes the rights granted under an SAP Platform ESS User license.

The SAP Platform Employee User license also includes an application-specific run-time license of SAP NetWeaver for the licensed SAP Applications as well as for the 3rd party application as long as use of this application remains limited to the transactions permitted by this user license.

DESAP Platform Employee Self-Service (ESS) User

An SAP Platform Employee Self-Service (ESS) User is a Named User who

  • accesses the licensed SAP software only through a 3rd party application that has been classified as a Platform User License Compliant Solution after an integration certification test  by the SAP Integration and Certification Center and 
  • accesses the licensed software solely for the purpose of executing the following HR self-services transactions: 
    • employee records maintenance, 
    • employee time and attendance entry, 
    • employee directory, 
    • benefits enrolment. 

Each Employee Self-Service (ESS) User shall access the software solely for such individual's own purposes and not for or on behalf of other individuals.

The SAP Platform Employee Self-Service (ESS) User license includes an application-specific run-time license of SAP NetWeaver for the licensed SAP Applications as well as for the 3rd party application as long as use of this application remains limited to the transactions permitted by this user license.

DISAP Platform Advanced User - Business Suite

An SAP Platform Advanced User - Business Suite is a Named User who is authorized to Use licensed Software solely through a separate application:

a) that

  • adds any new, independent functional components for business processes not contained by the SAP Software, 
  • is developed using a licensed SAP technology, and 
  • connects to and/or communicates through published SAP application program interfaces; and 

b) which shall in no case

  • enable the bypassing or circumventing of any of the restrictions set forth in the Agreement, 
  • provide Licensee with access to any Software to which Licensee is not licensed, and/or 
  • permit mass data or metadata extraction from SAP Software to non-SAP software for the purpose of creating a new system of record for that data or metadata.  

The SAP Platform Advanced User - Business Suite also includes the rights granted under the SAP Platform Standard User and SAP Platform Extended User.

DKSAP BS Platform Extended User

An SAP BS Platform Extended User is a Named User who is authorized to Use licensed Software solely through, and to the extent enabled by, one or more applications that

  • have been certified by SAP's Integration and Certification Center as a platform user compliant solution (“PULCS”) for SAP Platform Extended Users and 
  • Licensee has first secured all appropriate rights to use such PULCS application(s) from the applicable licensor(s) (i.e. no Software and/or third party software licensed from SAP SE, any SAP SE distributor(s), or any authorized resellers of SAP SE or its distributor(s), shall be considered a PULCS application for purposes of this Named User type, even if such applications are reflected on the PULCS Site). 

The SAP BS Platform Extended User includes an application-specific run-time license of SAP NetWeaver for the licensed SAP Applications as well as for the non-SAP application.

DLSAP BS Platform Standard User

An SAP BS Platform Standard User is a Named User who is authorized to Use licensed Software solely through, and to the extent enabled by, one or more applications that

  • have been certified by SAP's Integration and Certification Center as a platform user compliant solution (“PULCS”) for SAP Platform Standard Users and 
  • Licensee has first secured all appropriate rights to use such PULCS application(s) from the applicable licensor(s) (i.e. no Software and/or third party software licensed from SAP SE, any SAP SE distributor(s), or any authorized resellers of SAP SE or its distributor(s), shall be considered a PULCS application for purposes of this Named User type, even if such application(s) are reflected on the PULCS Site). 

The SAP BS Platform Standard User includes an application-specific run-time license of SAP NetWeaver for the licensed SAP Applications as well as for the non-SAP application.

DMSAP Platform UserAn SAP Platform User is a Named User authorized to Use licensed Software through a separate SAP, Partner or customer application that connects to and/or communicates with SAP Software through published SAP application programming inerfaces. 
DOSAP NetWeaver Gateway User for Productivity Apps

An SAP NetWeaver Gateway User for Productivity Apps is a Named User who is authorized to Use licensed Software solely through

  • one or more Productivity App(s) via SAP NetWeaver Gateway or 
  • Duet Enterprise.

As used in this section, Productivity Apps shall mean

  1. any SAP Mobile Applications and where licensed by Licensee under the Agreement on a per user basis, or 
  2. any Licensee owned/licensed mobile applications, provided such apps:
    • are only used by an individual to support one or more of the following self service functions on behalf of himself or herself (predefined reports, travel planning, expense reporting, procurement, room reservation, employee time, employee attendance, employee records maintenance, employee directory, employee benefits, employee appraisals, employee talent and skills profiles) (the “Self Service Functions”); and 
    • any interfacing of such apps with the Software and/or third party software licensed under the Agreement is limited to the extent necessary to support the Self Service Functions.
FASAP Learning User

An SAP Learning User is a Named User who is authorized to access solely the following learning solutions on SAP's price list, provided that those learning solutions are licensed. A SAP Learning User is not entitled to access other SAP solutions or solution components.

An SAP Human Capital Performance Management User is a Named User authorized to access the licensed Software (excluding SBOP), all solely for such individual's own purpose and not for or on behalf of other individuals to maintain:

  • employee appraisals, 
  • talent and skill profiles, and 
  • profile match up.
FDSAP Manager Self-Service User

An SAP Manager Self-Service User is a Named User authorized to perform one or more of the following manager self-services roles directly related to the employees and business unit/department for which the manager is responsible, and supported by the licensed Software (excluding SBOP):

  • request administrative changes using processes and forms contained within Human Capital Management, 
  • create requisition requests and candidate assessments, 
  • perform talent assessments and appraisals, 
  • plan and approve compensation, 
  • view budget overviews, 
  • organize project management tasks, 
  • perform planning tasks, 
  • approve travel requests and expenses, and 
  • perform workflow tasks. 

The SAP Manager Self-Service User also includes the rights granted under the SAP Employee User.

FESAP Retail Store User

An SAP Retail Store User is a Named User working in Licensee's retail store as an associate who is solely authorized to perform non-managerial retail store / point-of-sale related roles supported by the licensed Software.

The SAP Retail Store User includes the rights granted under the SAP Application Employee User.

FFSAP Shop Floor oder Warehouse User

An SAP Shop Floor or Warehouse User is a Named User working in Licensee's shop or warehouse who is solely authorized to perform one or more of the following roles supported by the licensed Software:

  • confirm goods receipts, goods issues and stock movements, 
  • submit purchase requisitions, 
  • enter service requests, 
  • enter production order completion confirmations, and 
  • any activities related to any of the foregoing.  

The SAP Shop Floor or Warehouse User also includes the rights granted under the SAP Application Employee User.

FGSAP Maintenance Worker User

An SAP Maintenance Worker User is a Named User who is a maintenance worker solely authorized to perform one or more of the following roles supported by the licensed Software (excluding SBOP):

  • confirm maintenance notifications, 
  • enter time confirmations, goods issues, stock movements and completion confirmations into maintenance work orders, 
  • enter service requests and service request entry sheets, and 
  • any maintenance activities related to items above. 

The SAP Maintenance Worker User also includes the rights granted under the SAP Application Employee User.

FHSAP Engineering User

An SAP Engineering User is a Named User that is authorized to solely perform the following activities on data and objects accessed and made available through the licensed SAP Collaborative Product Development Package, collaboration Folders, or SAP Portfolio and Project Management application, excluding in all cases access to any data or objects by or through SBOP portfolio products:

  • Display, Redline, 3D Viewing
  • Request, Approve, Reject, Confirm
  • Change

The SAP Engineering User includes the rights granted under the SAP Application Visualization User. In the case of individuals who are employees of Licensee, the SAP Engineering User also includes the rights granted under the SAP Application Employee User.

FISAP Procurement Self-Service and Collaborator User

An SAP Procurement Self-Service and Collaborator User is a Named User who is authorized to perform the following self-service roles supported by the licensed Software (excluding SBOP), all solely for such individual's own purpose and not for or on behalf of other individuals to:

  • create shopping carts or requisitions, check, receive or collaborate items in a requisition,
  • request sourcing or contracting support, review and/or approve items, participate in RFX scoring, provide supplier feedback, view reports or search system content, and 
  • upload compliance information or recipe component information. 
FKSAP Partner Channel User

An SAP Partner Channel User is a Named User who is an employee of Business Partners who is solely authorized to perform one or more of the following channel management related roles supported by the licensed Software:

  • enter and update leads and opportunities, 
  • manage channel marketing fund requests and claims, 
  • manage service requests, warranty claims and complaints and 
  • channel management activities related to items above.
FLSAP Solution Extension Limited User

An SAP Solution Extension Limited User is a Named User solely authorized to use one (1) Third Party Solution licensed by SAP. SAP Solution Extension Limited Users are not entitled to access other SAP solutions, solution components, or data stored in such solutions. SAP Solution Extension Limited User can only be licensed to access the following product:

  • SAP extended ECM by OpenText and
  • SAP Digital Asset Management by OpenText. 
FMSAP CRM Rapid Deployment Edition User

An SAP CRM Rapid Deployment Edition User is a Named User solely authorized to

  • access the SAP CRM Rapid Deployment Edition and 
  • perform SAP ERP order-status checks through SAP CRM. 

Access to other SAP software requires a SAP Application Business Expert User, a SAP Application Professional User or a SAP Application Limited Professional User license.

The rights granted to a SAP CRM Rapid Deployment Edition User are included in the existing SAP Application Business Expert User, SAP Application Professional User and SAP Application Limited Professional User.

FNSAP Logistics User

An SAP Logistics User is a Named User solely authorized to perform following tasks for the applicable licensed Software (excluding SBOP):

  • Transportation Management: Looking up a freight contract, tracking a certain shipment and similar activities, update master data (rates, lanes, locations), Transportation request entry, transportation planning on, responding to RFP (request for proposal) for tendering viewing and confirmation of events, charge calculation verification and similar activities.
  • Warehousing: Confirm goods receipts and putaway, deconsolidation at goods receipt, picking at pick points, stock movements including replenishment, production staging and enter physical inventory counts, packing, or confirming VAS (value added services) and perform scheduling activities for dock door appointments. This is valid for employees that are working with radio frequency mobile devices as well as for employees that are executing operational activities similar to those stated above.
  • Track and Trace: Viewing a serialized and/or any tracked object on ad hoc basis, such as querying its current or past location or ascertaining product genealogy. User accessing product traceability solutions on an ad hoc basis to report goods movement or view traceability reports. Viewing the status of defined supply chain events, expected or unexpected, e.g. delayed shipment of a sales order, change to a purchase order confirmation. Perform confirmation or change to supply chain events, e.g. update a change to a production order date or quantity.

For Licensee employees, the SAP Logistics User includes the rights granted under the SAP Application Employee User.

FOSAP Shop Floor User

An SAP Shop Floor User is a Named User working in Licensee's production facilities who is solely authorized to perform one or more of the following roles supported by the licensed Software (excluding SBOP):

  • display work instructions, and document activities and operations, 
  • confirm goods receipts, goods issues and stock movements, 
  • enter production order confirmations, 
  • record product or production information, e.g. quality inspection results or plant/process/equipment data, 
  • enter production issues and related service requests, 
  • submit purchase requisitions for tools, spare parts for production equipment, etc. and 
  • reporting or dash boarding related to items above. 

The SAP Shop Floor User includes the rights granted under the SAP Application Employee User and SAP Application Visualization User.

FPSAP CRM User

An SAP CRM User is a Named User only authorized to Use (excluding the right to make Modifications and/or Add-ons) CRM Software licensed under the Agreement (if any, the “Licensed CRM Software”).

An SAP CRM User may extract data from any data source into any Licensed CRM Software and/or push data out of any Licensed CRM Software into any data source provided Licensee has secured an appropriate license for all such data source(s) and such Use is otherwise in accord with the terms of the Agreement.

An additional SAP Named User License will not be required solely for the one-way extraction of data into Licensed CRM Software where the data source is Software (other than Licensed CRM Software) and/or third party software licensed under the Agreement.

FRSAP Application Visualization User

An SAP Application Visualization User is a Named User who is solely authorized to Use 

  • Visual Enterprise Generator, 
  • Visual Enterprise View Edition Generator, 
  • Visual Enterprise Generator .JT extension, 
  • Visual Enterprise Navigation & Analytics, 
  • Visual Enterprise Manufacturing, 
  • Visual Enterprise Service and Maintenance, 
  • Visual Enterprise Author, and 
  • Visual Enterprise ECAD Extension, subject to each Visual Enterprise component being licensed.  

The SAP Application Visualization User may not Use (including, without limitation, access any data stored in) any other Software or third party software licensed under this Agreement.

FSSAP Application Standalone Visualization User

An SAP Application Standalone Visualization User is a Named User who is solely authorized to Use

  • Visual Enterprise Generator, 
  • Visual Enterprise View Edition Generator, 
  • Visual Enterprise Generator .JT extension, (iv) Visual Enterprise Navigation & Analytics, 
  • Visual Enterprise Manufacturing, 
  • Visual Enterprise Service and Maintenance, 
  • Visual Enterprise Author, and 
  • Visual Enterprise ECAD Extension, subject to each Visual Enterprise component being licensed for Standalone Use. 

The SAP Application Standalone Visualization User may not Use (including, without limitation, access any data stored in) any other Software or third party software licensed under this Agreement.

FTSAP Clinical System UserAn SAP Clinical System User is a Named User solely authorized to access a clinical system. For the purpose of this definition a “clinical system” is defined as an IT application that supports the clinical process in a healthcare organization, where the clinical process is the process in which a patient interacts with doctors, nursing and technical personnel to be subjected to visits, diagnostic studies and/or therapeutic measures, that have the purpose of improving or maintaining the patient's health. A user of this type is required when a clinical system accesses functionalities that reside either in SAP Patient Management, in SAP Ambulatory Care Management or in SAP ERP. Clinical System Users are not entitled to access any other SAP solution or solution component, in particular they are not authorized to access SAP Patient Management.
FUSAP Health Care User

An SAP Health Care User is a Named User working in Licensee's organization's hospital wards or outpatient clinics as an associate who is solely authorized to perform patient care related roles supported by the licensed software and is solely authorized to access the following industry packages for Health Care:

  • SAP Patient Management,
  • SAP Ambulatory Care Management and
  • SAP Supplier Relationship Management & Logistics for Health Care,

provided this industry packages are licensed, and third party or in-house developed hospital information systems.

For the purpose of this definition a hospital information system is defined as an IT application that supports the patient administrative process in a healthcare organization, where the patient administrative process is the process in which patients interact with personnel of the healthcare organization in order to plan, execute or pay for the treatment they need.

A user of this type is required when a hospital information system accesses functionalities that reside either in SAP Patient Management, in SAP Ambulatory Care Management or in SAP ERP. Within the SAP Patient Management industry package the SAP Health Care User is authorized to access all functionalities with the exception of the billing component.

The SAP Health Care user includes the rights granted under the SAP Clinical System User and the SAP Application Employee Self-Service User.

SAP Health Care Users are not entitled to access any other SAP solution or solution component, in particular they are not authorized to access SAP ERP and SAP BW functionalities.

FVSAP Industry Portfolio User

An SAP Industry Portfolio User is a Named User solely authorized to access the specified industry packages on SAP's price list, provided that those packages are licensed. The SAP Industry Portfolio User is not entitled to access other SAP solutions or solution components.

The SAP Industry Portfolio User includes the rights granted under the SAP Employee User.

External business partners in the industries Insurance, Media and Automotive collaborating with the Licensee need to be licensed as SAP Industry Portfolio Users. Those business partners are not entitled to access other SAP solutions or solution components besides the specified industry packages.

FWSAP Project User

An SAP Project User is a Named User authorized to perform one or more of the following roles supported by the licensed Software (excluding SBOP): 

  • project management, including project-related resource management, project-related creation, change and display of quotation, order and billing in SAP ERP, accounting on individual projects, creation of project-related purchase requests, purchase orders and service entry sheets, 
  • product and project related reporting, 
  • managing project-related revenues and expenses 
  • viewing Accounts Receivable (A/R) General Ledger (G/L) postings, 
  • controlling access and releasing product data and recipes in collaborative product development scenarios, 
  • viewing and approving changes through engineering records, 
  • managing change through engineering records, 
  • collaborating in cFolders and 
  • interfaces to 3rd party authorized authoring tools.

The SAP Project User includes the rights granted under the SAP Manager Self-Service User.

FXSAP Worker User

An SAP Worker User is a Named User working in Licensee's production facilities or as a maintenance worker who is solely authorized to perform one or more of the following roles supported by the licensed Software (excluding SBOP):

  • display work instructions, and document activities and operations,
  • confirm goods receipts, goods issues, stock movements and completion confirmations into maintenance work orders,
  • enter production order confirmations,
  • record product or production information, e.g. quality inspection results or plant/process/equipment data,
  • enter production issues and related service requests,
  • submit purchase requisitions for tools, spare parts for production equipment, etc. 
  • confirm maintenance notifications,
  • enter service requests and service entry sheet,
  • any maintenance activities, reporting or dash-boarding related to the items set forth above.

The SAP Worker User includes the rights granted under the SAP Employee User.

FYSAP Business Partner UserAn SAP Business Partner User is a Named User who is an employee of a Business Partner accessing the licensed Software solely to perform operational related tasks within standard business-to-business scenarios.
n.a.Telco Channel Partner User

A Telco Channel Partner User is a Named User accessing the Industry Package “SAP Dealer and POS Management for Telecommunications” in the shop and POS location, limited to the defined functionality:

  • They work in a B2C POS/shop/retail environment as a sales or service staff
  • They are either permanent or temporary
  • They access information from the telecom operator through the dealer portal only

Note: This user type does not have its own user ID - please use one of the special module type users. 

04 - SAP Applications - User Type Descriptions

On production clients all unclassified users are counted with the respective default user type.

The default user type of the SAP price list SAP Applications is: ID CB - SAP Application Professional

4Substitute

A Substitute user can be created in the SAP system only for a limited period of time (for example, to cover for an absent colleague). During this time, this user can use the functions of another user, as a substitute. The “absent” user may not work actively in the SAP system during this time.

Substitute and substituted users must be created in the same client.

The substitute user is free of charge since the other user has already been evaluated according to the assignment.

11Multiclient/-system user

The Multiclient/-system user is for users that are already classified in one client or system as chargeable users. Since the chargeable user is evaluated according to its assignment, the multiclient/-system user is free of charge.

Every multiclient/-system user that is created in a client or system must be assigned to a chargeable user in the same or another system, and may use at most the functions of that system.

Note: This user type becomes obsolete, if the LAW is used to consolidate the users. 

60SAP Web AS UserAn SAP Web Application Server User applies only for SAP Web AS Full Usage license, if licensed per user.
The SAP Web Application Server Full Usage license is used to run a custom-developed or 3rd party application that is outside of the supported business scenario and does neither constitute a modification nor an enhancement.
61SAP Mobile Engine User

An SAP Mobile Engine user is a Named User who may use the applications of the SAP Mobile Engine.
SAP Mobile Engine provides a platform independent framework for mobile scenarios, including mobile devices, such as palmtop computers, Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) and laptops.

A SAP Mobile Engine user includes the rights granted under a SAP Web AS User license.

62SAP Banking UserAn SAP Banking User is a Named User solely authorized to access the specified industry packages for banks. Banking Users are not entitled to access other SAP solutions or solution components.
63SAP NetWeaver Developer User

The SAP NetWeaver Developer user is a Named User who uses the development and administration tools provided with SAP NetWeaver for the purpose of modifying, deploying and managing SAP or third party applications or for the purpose of creating, modifying, deploying and managing custom developed applications.

The SAP NetWeaver Developer user includes the rights granted under the SAP NetWeaver Professional user.

64SAP NetWeaver Administrator User
(SAP NetWeaver Professional)

An SAP NetWeaver Administrator User is a Named User who is authorized (only where the SAP NetWeaver Foundation for Third Party Applications Software is licensed) to access the development tools provided with such Software for the purpose of administering and managing applications

  • that are not licensed from SAP SE, any SAP SE distributor(s), or any authorized resellers of SAP SE or its distributor(s) and
  • for which Licensee has first secured all appropriate rights from any applicable licensor(s).
65SAP NetWeaver UserAn SAP NetWeaver User is a Named User who is authorized to run the licensed SAP NetWeaver applications including modifications and enhancements to SAP R/3 and integration of SAP R/3 with 3rd party applications, but excluding 3rd party to 3rd party integration.
66SAP NetWeaver Gateway User

An SAP NetWeaver Gateway User is a Named User who is authorized to Use licensed Software from the SAP Business Suite portfolio solely through a separate application that indirectly accesses the licensed Software via SAP NetWeaver Gateway.

Service calls through SAP NetWeaver Gateway may use stateless protocols only. A stateless protocol is one that treats each request for information as an independent transaction that is unrelated to any previous request so that the communication consists of independent pairs of requests and responses.

67SAP B2B Sales User

An SAP Business Suite B2B Sales User is a Named User who is an employee of Business Partners who is solely authorized to perform one or more of the following order management related roles supported by the licensed Software:

  • check product availability, 
  • configure an order, 
  • place an order, 
  • check order status, and 
  • order management activities related to items above.
68SAP IRPA UserBots created in SAP IRPA that execute tasks and interact with SAP applications in a fully automated way and independent of human involvement. Unattended bots can be triggered by events and can be scheduled.
69Unattended 3rd Party RPA UserBots created in a 3rd Party RPA application that execute tasks and interact with SAP applications in a fully automated way and independent of human involvement. Unattended bots can be triggered by events and can be scheduled.
91Test

Test users can be created in production systems only in the following instances:

  • No test system is available
  • Usage is exclusively for productive preparation of modules that are not yet productive in the production system.

The classification of test users must be agreed with SAP.

93 B2C User

If a B2C functionality has been licensed (e. g. sales orders) the user records of end customers can be classified as "B2C users". These user records must have been created automatically and in huge amounts within the B2C scenario.

The classification of B2C users must be agreed with SAP.

94SAP Analytics Backend Access User/SBOP Concurrent User

Some Analytics scenarios require the duplication of frontend user ids in the backend. If the backend user ID is created solely for the access of data which is covered by the front end user license, such backend user IDs may be classified with user type 94. A SAP license measurement (transaction USMM) in the backend will consider and count such user IDs, but user type 94 comes with no additional license costs.

Common scenarios:

  1. SAP Analytics Cloud user IDs may require duplication in backends such as SAP BW, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP S/4HANA (Cloud) or SAP NetWeaver. The user licenses have to be measured in the SAP Analytics Cloud system.
  2. SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform (SBOP BI) may require duplication in backends such as a SAP NetWeaver system (for replication into the SBOP BI system/ for “SAP R/3” authentication method in the SBOP BI system), regardless of user's access type in the SBOP BI system (Named Guaranteed – named user or Concurrent user / Limited by concurrent session pool).

The user licenses have to be measured in the SBOP BI system.

95External candidate e-recruitingIf an SAP e-recruiting functionality has been licensed the user records of persons not belonging to the company can be classified as "External candidate e-recruiting" user. The user records must have been created automatically and in huge amounts within the SAP e-recruiting solution. 
96CRM Engine User

For users who are working exclusively with the products CRM Sales or CRM Service. This user type is free of charge, because the licensing is covered by the following metric IDs:

  • ID 3352 , CRM Sales user
  • ID 3353 , CRM Sales, limited access user
  • ID 3357, CRM Service user
  • ID 3358, CRM Service, limited access user
97Multichannel Foundation UserIf a multichannel foundation functionality has been licensed (IS-Utilities) the user records of end customers can be classified as "Multichannel Foundation User". These user records must have been created automatically and in huge amounts within the multichannel foundation scenario.
98Engine-Only UserThis user type should be assigned to individuals who are not (and do not have to be) licensed for the use of SAP ECC, but need access to the SAP system exclusively in order to execute functionality of one or more licensed software packages (“Engines”).
71 - 89Special module type user 1 - 19

Special module type users are individuals who use special SAP functions not contained in the standard system and for whom an individual contractual rule holds.

Note: Overwrite the special module users used, and name them clearly.

CASAP Application Developer User

An SAP Application Developer User is a Named User authorized to access the development tools provided with the licensed Software for the purpose of modifying the licensed Software.

The SAP Application Developer User includes the rights granted under the SAP NetWeaver Developer User and SAP Application Employee User.

CBSAP Application Professional User

An SAP Application Professional User is a Named User authorized to perform operational related and system administration / management roles supported by the licensed Software (excluding SBOP).

The SAP Application Professional User includes the rights granted under the SAP Application Limited Professional User.

CCSAP Application Limited Professional User         

An SAP Application Limited Professional User is a Named User authorized to perform limited operational roles supported by the licensed Software (excluding SBOP).

The SAP Application Limited Professional User includes the rights granted under the SAP Application Business Information User.

The license agreement should define in detail the limited use rights being performed by such Limited Professional User.

CDSAP Application Employee User

An SAP Application Employee User is a Named User authorized to perform the following roles supported by the licensed Software (excluding SBOP), all solely for such individual's own purpose and not for or on behalf of other individuals:

  • Use (excluding the right to modify and/or customize) standard and interactive reports delivered with the licensed Software, 
  • perform talent management self-services (including employee appraisals, employee development plans, employee training registration, and employee opportunity inquiry and response), 
  • travel planning / expense reporting self services, 
  • perform desktop procurement self services, and 
  • room reservation self-services. 

The SAP Application Employee User also includes the rights granted under the SAP Application ESS User.

CESAP Application Employee Self-Service (ESS) User

An SAP Application Employee Self-Service User is a Named User authorized to perform the HR self-services role of employee time and attendance entry supported by the licensed Software (excluding SBOP), all solely for such individual's own purpose and not for or on behalf of other individuals.

The SAP Application ESS User also includes the rights granted under the SAP Application Employee Self-Service Core User and the SAP Human Capital Performance Management User.

CFSAP Application Business Expert User

An SAP Application Business Expert User is a Named User authorized to perform all roles supported by SBOP (excluding modifying SBOP).

The SAP Application Business Expert User includes the rights granted under the SAP Application Professional User.

CGSAP Application Business Information User

An SAP Application Business Information User is a Named User authorized to Use (excluding the right to modify and/or customize) standard and interactive reports delivered with the licensed Software, and reports created through Use of the licensed Software by appropriately licensed Named Users, solely for such individual's own purposes and not for or on behalf of other individuals.

The SAP Application Business Information User also includes the rights granted under the SAP Application Employee User.

CHSAP Application ESS Core User

An SAP Application Employee Self-Service Core User is a Named User authorized to perform the following HR self-services roles supported by the licensed Software (excluding SBOP), all solely for such individual's own purpose and not for or on behalf of other individuals:

  • employee records maintenance, 
  • employee directory, and 
  • benefits and payment services. 

Further, an ESS Core User is also authorized to access “Non-SAP Content” that resides on Licensee's “SAP Portal”, so long as accessing such Non-SAP Content does not require or result in any Use of the licensed Software (beyond access to such Non-SAP Content as it resides on Licensee's SAP Portal). As used in this ESS Core User definition,

  • “Non-SAP Content” means information created through no Use of the licensed Software and 
  • “SAP Portal” means any portal created by Licensee Using SAP Enterprise Portal Software (as provided with the licensed SAP NetWeaver Software) which provides appropriately licensed Named Users a common access point by which to Use licensed SAP Software.
DESAP Platform Employee Self-Service (ESS) User

An SAP Platform Employee Self-Service (ESS) User is a Named User who

  • accesses the licensed SAP software only through a 3rd party application that has been classified as a Platform User License Compliant Solution after an integration certification test  by the SAP Integration and Certification Center and 
  • accesses the licensed software solely for the purpose of executing the following HR self-services transactions: 
    • employee records maintenance, 
    • employee time and attendance entry, 
    • employee directory, 
    • benefits enrolment. 

Each Employee Self-Service (ESS) User shall access the software solely for such individual's own purposes and not for or on behalf of other individuals.

The SAP Platform Employee Self-Service (ESS) User license includes an application-specific run-time license of SAP NetWeaver for the licensed SAP Applications as well as for the 3rd party application as long as use of this application remains limited to the transactions permitted by this user license.

DFSAP Platform Advanced User

An SAP Platform Advanced User is a Named User who is authorized to Use licensed Software solely through a separate application: 

a) that

  • adds any new, independent functional components for business processes not contained by the SAP Software, 
  • is developed using a licensed SAP technology, and 
  • connects to and/or communicates through published SAP application program interfaces; and 

b) which shall in no case

  • enable the bypassing or circumventing of any of the restrictions set forth in the Agreement, 
  • provide Licensee with access to any Software to which Licensee is not licensed, and/or 
  • permit mass data or metadata extraction from SAP Software to non-SAP software for the purpose of creating a new system of record for that data or metadata. 

The SAP Platform Advanced User also includes the rights granted under the SAP Platform Standard User and SAP Platform Extended User.

DGSAP Platform Extended User

An SAP Platform Extended User is a Named User who is authorized to Use licensed Software solely through, and to the extent enabled by, one or more applications that

  • have been certified by SAP's Integration and Certification Center as a platform user compliant solution (“PULCS”) for SAP Platform Extended Users and 
  • Licensee has first secured all appropriate rights to use such PULCS application(s) from the applicable licensor(s) (i.e. no Software and/or third party software licensed from SAP SE, any SAP SE distributor(s), or any authorized resellers of SAP SE or its distributor(s), shall be considered a PULCS application for purposes of this Named User type, even if such applications are reflected on the PULCS Site). 

The SAP Platform Extended User includes an application-specific run-time license of SAP NetWeaver for the licensed SAP Applications as well as for the non-SAP application.

DHSAP Platform Standard User

An SAP Platform Standard User is a Named User who is authorized to Use licensed Software solely through, and to the extent enabled by, one or more applications that

  • have been certified by SAP's Integration and Certification Center as a platform user compliant solution (“PULCS”) for SAP Platform Standard Users 
  • Licensee has first secured all appropriate rights to use such PULCS application(s) from the applicable licensor(s) (i.e. no Software and/or third party software licensed from SAP SE, any SAP SE distributor(s), or any authorized resellers of SAP SE or its distributor(s), shall be considered a PULCS application for purposes of this Named User type, even if such application(s) are reflected on the PULCS Site). 

The SAP Platform Standard User includes an application-specific run-time license of SAP NetWeaver for the licensed SAP Applications as well as for the non-SAP application.

DMSAP Platform UserAn SAP Platform User is a Named User authorized to Use licensed Software through a separate SAP, Partner or customer application that connects to and/or communicates with SAP Software through published SAP application programming inerfaces. 
DOSAP NetWeaver Gateway User for Productivity Apps

An SAP NetWeaver Gateway User for Productivity Apps is a Named User who is authorized to Use licensed Software solely through

  • one or more Productivity App(s) via SAP NetWeaver Gateway or 
  • Duet Enterprise.

As used in this section, Productivity Apps shall mean

  1. any SAP Mobile Applications and where licensed by Licensee under the Agreement on a per user basis, or 
  2. any Licensee owned/licensed mobile applications, provided such apps:
    • are only used by an individual to support one or more of the following self service functions on behalf of himself or herself (predefined reports, travel planning, expense reporting, procurement, room reservation, employee time, employee attendance, employee records maintenance, employee directory, employee benefits, employee appraisals, employee talent and skills profiles) (the “Self Service Functions”); and 
    • any interfacing of such apps with the Software and/or third party software licensed under the Agreement is limited to the extent necessary to support the Self Service Functions.
FASAP Learning User

An SAP Learning User is a Named User who is authorized to access solely the following learning solutions on SAP's price list, provided that those learning solutions are licensed. A SAP Learning User is not entitled to access other SAP solutions or solution components.

The applicable learning solutions offered by SAP comprise the following:

  • 7002075 SAP Learning Solution
  • 7003485 SAP Enterprise Learning Environment
  • 7009559 SAP Acrobat Connect Professional Learning by Adobe
  • 7009558 SAP Acrobat Connect Professional Meeting by Adobe
  • 7009560 SAP Productivity Pak by RWD - excl. North America
  • 7009561 SAP Productivity Pak Help Launch Pad by RWD - excl. North America
  • 7009562 SAP Productivity Composer by RWD - excl. North America
  • 7009563 SAP Productivity Composer Help Launch Pad by RWD - excl. North America

An SAP Human Capital Performance Management User is a Named User authorized to access the licensed Software (excluding SBOP), all solely for such individual's own purpose and not for or on behalf of other individuals to maintain:

  • employee appraisals, 
  • talent and skill profiles, and 
  • profile match up.
FDSAP Manager Self-Service User

An SAP Manager Self-Service User is a Named User authorized to perform one or more of the following manager self-services roles directly related to the employees and business unit/department for which the manager is responsible, and supported by the licensed Software (excluding SBOP):

  • request administrative changes using processes and forms contained within Human Capital Management, 
  • create requisition requests and candidate assessments, 
  • perform talent assessments and appraisals, 
  • plan and approve compensation, 
  • view budget overviews, 
  • organize project management tasks, 
  • perform planning tasks, 
  • approve travel requests and expenses, and 
  • perform workflow tasks. 

The SAP Manager Self-Service User also includes the rights granted under the SAP Employee User.

FESAP Retail Store User

An SAP Retail Store User is a Named User working in Licensee's retail store as an associate who is solely authorized to perform non-managerial retail store / point-of-sale related roles supported by the licensed Software.

The SAP Retail Store User includes the rights granted under the SAP Application Employee User.

FFSAP Shop Floor oder Warehouse User

An SAP Shop Floor or Warehouse User is a Named User working in Licensee's shop or warehouse who is solely authorized to perform one or more of the following roles supported by the licensed Software:

  • confirm goods receipts, goods issues and stock movements, 
  • submit purchase requisitions, 
  • enter service requests, 
  • enter production order completion confirmations, and 
  • any activities related to any of the foregoing.  

The SAP Shop Floor or Warehouse User also includes the rights granted under the SAP Application Employee User.

FGSAP Maintenance Worker User

An SAP Maintenance Worker User is a Named User who is a maintenance worker solely authorized to perform one or more of the following roles supported by the licensed Software (excluding SBOP):

  • confirm maintenance notifications, 
  • enter time confirmations, goods issues, stock movements and completion confirmations into maintenance work orders, 
  • enter service requests and service request entry sheets, and 
  • any maintenance activities related to items above. 

The SAP Maintenance Worker User also includes the rights granted under the SAP Application Employee User.

FHSAP Engineering User

An SAP Engineering User is a Named User that is authorized to solely perform the following activities on data and objects accessed and made available through the licensed SAP Collaborative Product Development Package, collaboration Folders, or SAP Portfolio and Project Management application, excluding in all cases access to any data or objects by or through SBOP portfolio products:

  • Display, Redline, 3D Viewing
  • Request, Approve, Reject, Confirm
  • Change

The SAP Engineering User includes the rights granted under the SAP Application Visualization User. In the case of individuals who are employees of Licensee, the SAP Engineering User also includes the rights granted under the SAP Application Employee User.

FISAP Procurement Self-Service and Collaborator User

An SAP Procurement Self-Service and Collaborator User is a Named User who is authorized to perform the following self-service roles supported by the licensed Software (excluding SBOP), all solely for such individual's own purpose and not for or on behalf of other individuals to:

  • create shopping carts or requisitions, check, receive or collaborate items in a requisition,
  • request sourcing or contracting support, review and/or approve items, participate in RFX scoring, provide supplier feedback, view reports or search system content, and 
  • upload compliance information or recipe component information. 

The SAP Procurement Self-Service User includes the rights granted under the SAP Application ESS User.

FKSAP Partner Channel User

An SAP Partner Channel User is a Named User who is an employee of Business Partners who is solely authorized to perform one or more of the following channel management related roles supported by the licensed Software:

  • enter and update leads and opportunities, 
  • manage channel marketing fund requests and claims, 
  • manage service requests, warranty claims and complaints and 
  • channel management activities related to items above.
FLSAP Solution Extension Limited User

An SAP Solution Extension Limited User is a Named User solely authorized to use one (1) Third Party Solution licensed by SAP. SAP Solution Extension Limited Users are not entitled to access other SAP solutions, solution components, or data stored in such solutions. SAP Solution Extension Limited User can only be licensed to access the following product:

  • SAP extended ECM by OpenText and
  • SAP Digital Asset Management by OpenText. 
FMSAP CRM Rapid Deployment Edition User

An SAP CRM Rapid Deployment Edition User is a Named User solely authorized to

  • access the SAP CRM Rapid Deployment Edition and 
  • perform SAP ERP order-status checks through SAP CRM. 

Access to other SAP software requires a SAP Application Business Expert User, a SAP Application Professional User or a SAP Application Limited Professional User license.

The rights granted to a SAP CRM Rapid Deployment Edition User are included in the existing SAP Application Business Expert User, SAP Application Professional User and SAP Application Limited Professional User.

FNSAP Logistics User

An SAP Logistics User is a Named User solely authorized to perform following tasks for the applicable licensed Software (excluding SBOP):

  • Transportation Management: Looking up a freight contract, tracking a certain shipment and similar activities, update master data (rates, lanes, locations), Transportation request entry, transportation planning on, responding to RFP (request for proposal) for tendering viewing and confirmation of events, charge calculation verification and similar activities.
  • Warehousing: Confirm goods receipts and putaway, deconsolidation at goods receipt, picking at pick points, stock movements including replenishment, production staging and enter physical inventory counts, packing, or confirming VAS (value added services) and perform scheduling activities for dock door appointments. This is valid for employees that are working with radio frequency mobile devices as well as for employees that are executing operational activities similar to those stated above.
  • Track and Trace: Viewing a serialized and/or any tracked object on ad hoc basis, such as querying its current or past location or ascertaining product genealogy. User accessing product traceability solutions on an ad hoc basis to report goods movement or view traceability reports. Viewing the status of defined supply chain events, expected or unexpected, e.g. delayed shipment of a sales order, change to a purchase order confirmation. Perform confirmation or change to supply chain events, e.g. update a change to a production order date or quantity.

For Licensee employees, the SAP Logistics User includes the rights granted under the SAP Application Employee User.

FOSAP Shop Floor User

An SAP Shop Floor User is a Named User working in Licensee's production facilities who is solely authorized to perform one or more of the following roles supported by the licensed Software (excluding SBOP):

  • display work instructions, and document activities and operations, 
  • confirm goods receipts, goods issues and stock movements, 
  • enter production order confirmations, 
  • record product or production information, e.g. quality inspection results or plant/process/equipment data, 
  • enter production issues and related service requests, 
  • submit purchase requisitions for tools, spare parts for production equipment, etc. and 
  • reporting or dash boarding related to items above. 

The SAP Shop Floor User includes the rights granted under the SAP Application Employee User and SAP Application Visualization User.

FPSAP CRM User

An SAP CRM User is a Named User only authorized to Use (excluding the right to make Modifications and/or Add-ons) CRM Software licensed under the Agreement (if any, the “Licensed CRM Software”).

An SAP CRM User may extract data from any data source into any Licensed CRM Software and/or push data out of any Licensed CRM Software into any data source provided Licensee has secured an appropriate license for all such data source(s) and such Use is otherwise in accord with the terms of the Agreement.

An additional SAP Named User License will not be required solely for the one-way extraction of data into Licensed CRM Software where the data source is Software (other than Licensed CRM Software) and/or third party software licensed under the Agreement.

FRSAP Application Visualization User

An SAP Application Visualization User is a Named User who is solely authorized to Use 

  • Visual Enterprise Generator, 
  • Visual Enterprise View Edition Generator, 
  • Visual Enterprise Generator .JT extension, 
  • Visual Enterprise Navigation & Analytics,

  • Visual Enterprise Service and Maintenance, 
  • Visual Enterprise Author, and 
  • Visual Enterprise ECAD Extension, subject to each Visual Enterprise component being licensed.  

The SAP Application Visualization User may not Use (including, without limitation, access any data stored in) any other Software or third party software licensed under this Agreement.

FSSAP Application Standalone Visualization User

An SAP Application Standalone Visualization User is a Named User who is solely authorized to Use

  • Visual Enterprise Generator, 
  • Visual Enterprise View Edition Generator, 
  • Visual Enterprise Generator .JT extension, (iv) Visual Enterprise Navigation & Analytics, 
  • Visual Enterprise Manufacturing, 
  • Visual Enterprise Service and Maintenance, 
  • Visual Enterprise Author, and 
  • Visual Enterprise ECAD Extension, subject to each Visual Enterprise component being licensed for Standalone Use. 

The SAP Application Standalone Visualization User may not Use (including, without limitation, access any data stored in) any other Software or third party software licensed under this Agreement.

FTSAP Clinical System UserAn SAP Clinical System User is a Named User solely authorized to access a clinical system. For the purpose of this definition a “clinical system” is defined as an IT application that supports the clinical process in a healthcare organization, where the clinical process is the process in which a patient interacts with doctors, nursing and technical personnel to be subjected to visits, diagnostic studies and/or therapeutic measures, that have the purpose of improving or maintaining the patient's health. A user of this type is required when a clinical system accesses functionalities that reside either in SAP Patient Management, in SAP Ambulatory Care Management or in SAP ERP. Clinical System Users are not entitled to access any other SAP solution or solution component, in particular they are not authorized to access SAP Patient Management.
FUSAP Health Care User

An SAP Health Care User is a Named User working in Licensee's organization's hospital wards or outpatient clinics as an associate who is solely authorized to perform patient care related roles supported by the licensed software and is solely authorized to access the following industry packages for Health Care:

  • SAP Patient Management,
  • SAP Ambulatory Care Management and
  • SAP Supplier Relationship Management & Logistics for Health Care,

provided this industry packages are licensed, and third party or in-house developed hospital information systems.

For the purpose of this definition a hospital information system is defined as an IT application that supports the patient administrative process in a healthcare organization, where the patient administrative process is the process in which patients interact with personnel of the healthcare organization in order to plan, execute or pay for the treatment they need.

A user of this type is required when a hospital information system accesses functionalities that reside either in SAP Patient Management, in SAP Ambulatory Care Management or in SAP ERP. Within the SAP Patient Management industry package the SAP Health Care User is authorized to access all functionalities with the exception of the billing component.

The SAP Health Care user includes the rights granted under the SAP Clinical System User and the SAP Application Employee Self-Service User.

SAP Health Care Users are not entitled to access any other SAP solution or solution component, in particular they are not authorized to access SAP ERP and SAP BW functionalities.

FVSAP Industry Portfolio User

An SAP Industry Portfolio User is a Named User solely authorized to access the specified industry packages on SAP's price list, provided that those packages are licensed. The SAP Industry Portfolio User is not entitled to access other SAP solutions or solution components.

The SAP Industry Portfolio User includes the rights granted under the SAP Employee User.

External business partners in the industries Insurance, Media and Automotive collaborating with the Licensee need to be licensed as SAP Industry Portfolio Users. Those business partners are not entitled to access other SAP solutions or solution components besides the specified industry packages.

FWSAP Project User

An SAP Project User is a Named User authorized to perform one or more of the following roles supported by the licensed Software (excluding SBOP): 

  • project management, including project-related resource management, project-related creation, change and display of quotation, order and billing in SAP ERP, accounting on individual projects, creation of project-related purchase requests, purchase orders and service entry sheets, 
  • product and project related reporting, 
  • managing project-related revenues and expenses 
  • viewing Accounts Receivable (A/R) General Ledger (G/L) postings, 
  • controlling access and releasing product data and recipes in collaborative product development scenarios, 
  • viewing and approving changes through engineering records, 
  • managing change through engineering records, 
  • collaborating in cFolders and 
  • interfaces to 3rd party authorized authoring tools.

The SAP Project User includes the rights granted under the SAP Manager Self-Service User.

FXSAP Worker User

An SAP Worker User is a Named User working in Licensee's production facilities or as a maintenance worker who is solely authorized to perform one or more of the following roles supported by the licensed Software (excluding SBOP):

  • display work instructions, and document activities and operations,
  • confirm goods receipts, goods issues, stock movements and completion confirmations into maintenance work orders,
  • enter production order confirmations,
  • record product or production information, e.g. quality inspection results or plant/process/equipment data,
  • enter production issues and related service requests,
  • submit purchase requisitions for tools, spare parts for production equipment, etc. 
  • confirm maintenance notifications,
  • enter service requests and service entry sheet,
  • any maintenance activities, reporting or dash-boarding related to the items set forth above.

The SAP Worker User includes the rights granted under the SAP Employee User.

FYSAP Business Partner UserAn SAP Business Partner User is a Named User who is an employee of a Business Partner accessing the licensed Software solely to perform operational related tasks within standard business-to-business scenarios.
n.a.Cerner i.s.h. med User (Siemens i.s.h. med User)

An i.s.h.med User is a Named User who solely has access to Cerner (Siemens) i.s.h.med functionality and is given access to Cerner (Siemens) i.s.h.med through appropriate authorizations.

Cerner (Siemens) i.s.h.med users are not entitled to access any other SAP solution or solution component, in particular they are not authorized to access any functionality of the SAP Patient Management industry package.

Note: This user type does not have its own user ID - please use one of the special module type users. 

n.a.SAP hybris Cockpit User

An SAP hybris cockpit user is a Named User authorized to perform all roles in the SAP hybris Software.

An SAP hybris cockpit user may extract data from any data source (including SAP Software or third party software) into any licensed hybris Software and/or push data out of any licensed SAP hybris Software into any data source (including SAP Software or third party software) provided Licensee has secured an appropriate license for all such data source(s).

Note: This user type does not have its own user ID - please use one of the special module type users. 

n.a.Telco Channel Partner User

A Telco Channel Partner User is a Named User accessing the Industry Package “SAP Dealer and POS Management for Telecommunications” in the shop and POS location, limited to the defined functionality:

  • They work in a B2C POS/shop/retail environment as a sales or service staff
  • They are either permanent or temporary
  • They access information from the telecom operator through the dealer portal only

An SAP Professional User is a Named User authorized to perform operational related and system administration / management roles supported by the licensed Software (excluding SBOP).

KDHEC SAP Employee User  

An SAP Employee User is a Named User authorized to perform the following roles supported by the licensed Software (excluding SBOP), all solely for such individual's own purpose and not for or on behalf of other individuals:

  • Use (excluding the right to modify and/or customize) standard and interactive reports delivered with the licensed Software, 
  • perform talent management self-services (including employee appraisals, employee development plans, employee training registration, and employee opportunity inquiry and response), 
  • travel planning / expense reporting self services, 
  • perform desktop procurement self services, and 
  • room reservation self-services. 

The SAP Employee User also includes the rights granted under the SAP ESS User.

KEHEC SAP ESS User  

An SAP Employee Self-Service User is a Named User authorized to perform the HR self-services role of employee time and attendance entry supported by the licensed Software (excluding SBOP), all solely for such individual's own purpose and not for or on behalf of other individuals. 

The SAP ESS User also includes the rights granted under the SAP Employee Self-Service Core User and the SAP Human Capital Performance Management User.

KFHEC SAP ESS Core User  

An SAP Employee Self-Service Core User is a Named User authorized to perform the following HR self-services roles supported by the licensed Software (excluding SBOP), all solely for such individual's own purpose and not for or on behalf of other individuals:

  • employee records maintenance, 
  • employee directory, and 
  • benefits and payment services. 

Further, an ESS Core User is also authorized to access “Non-SAP Content” that resides on Licensee's “SAP Portal”, so long as accessing such Non-SAP Content does not require or result in any Use of the licensed Software (beyond access to such Non-SAP Content as it resides on Licensee's SAP Portal). As used in this ESS Core User definition,

  • “Non-SAP Content” means information created through no Use of the licensed Software and 
  • “SAP Portal” means any portal created by Licensee Using SAP Enterprise Portal Software (as provided with the licensed SAP NetWeaver Software) which provides appropriately licensed Named Users a common access point by which to Use licensed SAP Software.
KGHEC SAP Retail User 

An SAP Retail User is a Named User working in Licensee's retail store as an associate who is solely authorized to perform non-managerial retail store / point-of-sale related roles supported by the licensed Software.

The SAP Retail User includes the rights granted under the SAP Employee User.

KHHEC SAP MSS User  

An SAP Manager Self-Service User is a Named User authorized to perform one or more of the following manager self-services roles directly related to the employees and business unit/department for which the manager is responsible, and supported by the licensed Software (excluding SBOP):

  • request administrative changes using processes and forms contained within Human Capital Management, 
  • create requisition requests and candidate assessments, 
  • perform talent assessments and appraisals, 
  • plan and approve compensation, 
  • view budget overviews, 
  • organize project management tasks, 
  • perform planning tasks, 
  • approve travel requests and expenses, and 
  • perform workflow tasks. 

The SAP Manager Self-Service User also includes the rights granted under the SAP Employee User.

KIHEC SAP Learning User  

An SAP Learning User is a Named User who is authorized to access solely the following learning solutions on SAP's price list, provided that those learning solutions are licensed. A SAP Learning User is not entitled to access other SAP solutions or solution components.

KKHEC SAP Platform User  An SAP Platform User is a Named User authorized to Use licensed Software through a separate SAP, Partner or customer application that connects to and/or communicates with SAP Software through published SAP application programming interfaces. 
KNHEC SAP Logistics User 

An SAP Logistics User is a Named User solely authorized to perform following tasks for the applicable licensed Software (excluding SBOP):

  • Transportation Management: Looking up a freight contract, tracking a certain shipment and similar activities, update master data (rates, lanes, locations), Transportation request entry, transportation planning on, responding to RFP (request for proposal) for tendering viewing and confirmation of events, charge calculation verification and similar activities.
  • Warehousing: Confirm goods receipts and putaway, deconsolidation at goods receipt, picking at pick points, stock movements including replenishment, production staging and enter physical inventory counts, packing, or confirming VAS (value added services) and perform scheduling activities for dock door appointments. This is valid for employees that are working with radio frequency mobile devices as well as for employees that are executing operational activities similar to those stated above.
  • Track and Trace: Viewing a serialized and/or any tracked object on ad hoc basis, such as querying its current or past location or ascertaining product genealogy. User accessing product traceability solutions on an ad hoc basis to report goods movement or view traceability reports. Viewing the status of defined supply chain events, expected or unexpected, e.g. delayed shipment of a sales order, change to a purchase order confirmation. Perform confirmation or change to supply chain events, e.g. update a change to a production order date or quantity.

For Licensee employees, the SAP Logistics User includes the rights granted under the SAP Application Employee User.

KOHEC Technical Engine Use

The user type ‘HEC Technical Engine Use' should be assigned to individuals who are not (and do not have to be) licensed for the use of SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Management, but need access to the S/4HANA system exclusively in order to execute functionality of one or more licensed software packages (“Engines”) e.g. EWM, TM, etc.

KVHEC SAP Industry Portfolio User  

An SAP Industry Portfolio User is a Named User solely authorized to access the specified industry packages on SAP's price list, provided that those packages are licensed. The SAP Industry Portfolio User is not entitled to access other SAP solutions or solution components.

The SAP Industry Portfolio User includes the rights granted under the SAP Employee User.

External business partners in the industries Insurance, Media and Automotive collaborating with the Licensee need to be licensed as SAP Industry Portfolio Users. Those business partners are not entitled to access other SAP solutions or solution components besides the specified industry packages.

KWHEC SAP Project User  

An SAP Project User is a Named User authorized to perform one or more of the following roles supported by the licensed Software (excluding SBOP): 

  • project management, including project-related resource management, project-related creation, change and display of quotation, order and billing in SAP ERP, accounting on individual projects, creation of project-related purchase requests, purchase orders and service entry sheets, 
  • product and project related reporting, 
  • managing project-related revenues and expenses 
  • viewing Accounts Receivable (A/R) General Ledger (G/L) postings, 
  • controlling access and releasing product data and recipes in collaborative product development scenarios, 
  • viewing and approving changes through engineering records, 
  • managing change through engineering records, 
  • collaborating in cFolders and 
  • interfaces to 3rd party authorized authoring tools.

The SAP Project User includes the rights granted under the SAP Manager Self-Service User.

KXHEC SAP Worker User  

An SAP Worker User is a Named User working in Licensee's production facilities or as a maintenance worker who is solely authorized to perform one or more of the following roles supported by the licensed Software (excluding SBOP):

  • display work instructions, and document activities and operations,
  • confirm goods receipts, goods issues, stock movements and completion confirmations into maintenance work orders,
  • enter production order confirmations,
  • record product or production information, e.g. quality inspection results or plant/process/equipment data,
  • enter production issues and related service requests,
  • submit purchase requisitions for tools, spare parts for production equipment, etc. 
  • confirm maintenance notifications,
  • enter service requests and service entry sheet,
  • any maintenance activities, reporting or dash-boarding related to the items set forth above.

The SAP Worker User includes the rights granted under the SAP Employee User.

KYHEC SAP Business Partner User  

An SAP Business Partner User is a Named User who is an employee of a Business Partner accessing the licensed Software solely to perform operational related tasks within standard business-to-business scenarios.
