Requirements Management with SAP Cloud ALM and SAP Solution Manager

 

When implementing an SAP system, requirements are a central component of the discovery and implementation phase. Depending on the development methodology, requirements are captured in fit-to-gap or fit-to-standard workshops, mapped to business processes, and implemented and tested as the project progresses.

With the Requirements application, SAP Cloud ALM provides the ability to collect requirements,  link them to user stories and tasks, and filter, group, approve and sort them. You can track progress using selected dimensions or analyze the readiness of requirements based on user stories and project tasks.

SAP Solution Manager introduces business and IT requirements with Version 7.2. Focused Build(opens in new tab) makes it even easier to create and edit requirements. In an agile methodology, requirements are broken down into work packages and work items and implemented after the initial requirements backlog planning.
