Retirement of Agent Configuration Data

The “Agent Administration” stores a history of configurations sent to the Simple Diagnostics Agents (SDA). These configurations are stored in the tables SRSM_CONFIG_INF,  SRSM_CONFIG_FILE, and SRSM_PROPERTY. The “Agent Administration” shows these configurations in tab “Configuration Information”.


Since SAP Focused Run 3.0 FP03 a retirement and cleanup mechanism has been implemented.

The default retirement timeframe of stored obsolete agent configurations is 90 days. After this timeframe obsolete agent configurations will be deleted. Current configurations will not be deleted until the agent was reconfigured. The retention time can be configured in table AMA_CONFIG.

Use transaction SE16 to maintain retirement setting in table AMA_CONFIG:

  • CONFIG_KEY = AMA.AGENT.CONFIG.RETENTION_DAYS
  • CONFIG_VAL = <retention time in days>

Execute Report P_AMA_CLEANUP_OBSOLETE_CONFIG

This report triggers the initial cleanup of obsolete agent configurations stored before SAP Focused Run 3.0 FP03.
The execution of this report is only needed once.
