News with Software Logistics Toolset 1.0 SPS 42

  • Availability: SL Toolset 1.0 SPS 42 is available since October 7th 2024.
  • What's in: compared to SPS 41, no tool was added or removed.

Software Maintenance

SUM 2.0 SP 21:

  • SUM
    • Feature Package Stack (FPS) updates on SAP S/4HANA no longer possible with SPAM, only SUM
      (valid for SAP S/4HANA 2023 FPS02, and higher)
      SUM will run Simplification Item check phases for FPS updates
    • Simplification Items checks now run in a separate module now for faster repeat of module in case of issues
  • DMO

    • Downtime-optimized Conversion: SAP ASE as source database is now supported​

    • Backup dialog is no longer shown for DMO scenarios

Changes with latest SL Toolset version for 7.00 to 7.58 (SL Toolset 1.0 SPS 42 / Version 0089)

  • Enhancements and bug fixes in SUM relevant functions: 
    • Adaptions for the Software Update Manager (SUM) (SL Toolset SP Stack 42).

  • The reset of the import process is possible now in later import phases, to allow an easier problem solving.​ ​

  • Adding extended information (implemented notes and TCIs) to the system info XML.​ 

  • Improved parallel execution in the uninstallation process (in phase CHECK_USAGE).​

Software Provisioning

Changes with Software Provisioning Manager 1.0 SP42 and 2.0 SP19

  • SWPM 2.0 SP19:

    • SWPM based ABAP installations now support HANA Databases that have Certificate-based User Authentication configured 

  • SWPM 1.0 SP42:

    • For MaxDB Client/DB installation no more DVD required, SAR files from SAP Service Market Place can be used directly​
