News with Software Logistics Toolset 1.0 SPS 37

  • SUM UI
    • SAPupConsole output is generally shown on UI
  • SUM:
    • Number of default processes were increased for Uptime and Downtime:
      Batch, DDL, R3trans, Parallel Phases and R3load (SGEN processes are not changed)
    • Option to ignore errors during "distribution" of CDS Views in phase PARDIST_ORIG and PARDIST_TRANS if the erroneous objects are only application views.
  • MailNotifier:
    • Property to de-activate certificate check of SAP Host Agent - "for test“;
      simplifies the case that self-signed certificates are used

Changes with latest SL Toolset version for 7.00 to 7.57 (SL Toolset 1.0 SPS 37 / Version 0084)

  • Enhancements and bug fixes in SUM relevant functions: 
    • Adaptions for the Software Update Manager (SUM) (SL Toolset SP Stack 37).
    • Improved behavior of OCS functions during ZDO upgrades (see SAP note 3289233).

  • Upgrade planning tool: Report RSSPAM_CHECK_ADDONS_UPGRADE to check the behavior of Add-Ons during an upgrade​.

  • Improvements of the uninstallation process: 

    • Support for new object types. 

    • Support for new Add-Ons.

Software Provisioning

Changes with Software Provisioning Manager 1.0 SP37 and 2.0 SP14

  • SWPM 1.0 SP37:
    • Improved handling for NW 7.50 Java DVDs for installations 
    • As in SWPM 2.0, SWPM 1.0 can now consume SAR files from Marketplace for SAP HANA Client and DB
    • SAP Kernel 7.54 is now supported ​
    • Improved Up-to-Date-Installation (UDI) for SAP Netweaver PI
    • System Copies of SAP Netweaver Java restore the bootstrap folder of the source system instead of creating a new one based on the SAP Netweaver Java DVD
  • SWPM 2.0 SP14:
    • Supports SWPM functionality installation of S/4HANA 2022, S/4HANA Foundation 2022
  • SWPM 1.0 SP37 and SWPM 2.0 SP14:
    • Prerequisite Checker covers Security Enhanced Linux (SELinux) mode on RHEL 8
