News with Software Logistics Toolset 1.0 SPS 33

This page describes the new and improved tools in the SL Toolset 1.0 with SPS 33.

  • Availability: SL Toolset 1.0 SPS 33 is available since October 11th 2021.
  • What's in: compared to SPS 32, no tool was added or removed

Software Maintenance

SUM 1.0 SP 27:

  • SUM 1.0 SP 27 provided, works with start releases on SAP BASIS 7.00 and higher
  • SUM10HDBSP27 also to be used for any Oracle-based system
  • Using SAP Host Agent 52 sets HTTPS as default
  • SUM 1.0 SP 26 is now available on request for start releases on SAP BASIS 4.6 C, 6.20, 6.40

SUM 2.0 SP 12:

  • General availability of Zero Downtime Option for SAP S/4HANA (see separate support portal page)
  • New scenario (standalone option) to check cluster tables

  • Option to execute SDMI jobs in downtime (conversion or upgrade to SAP S/4HANA 2021 or higher)​

  • Using SAP Host Agent 52 sets HTTPS as default
  • Support for several new DB data types
  • Option to enable/disable the application startup
  • Option to add a prefix to identical column names

Changes with latest SL Toolset version for 7.00 to 7.55 (SL Toolset 1.0 SPS 32 / Version 0078)

  • Enhancements and bug fixes in upgrade and EHPI relevant functions:
    • Adaptions for the Software Update Manager (SUM)  (SL Toolset SP Stack 33)
    • Fix to ensure that the SP level of HR subcomponents are set correctly in table CVERS
  • Differences in not matching modification adjustment transports can be ignored to be able to include them into the package queue
  • Improvements of the Add-On uninstallation process:
    • Support for new object types
    • Support for new Add-Ons

Software Provisioning

Changes with Software Provisioning Manager 1.0 SP33 and 2.0 SP10

  • SWPM 1.0 SP33:
    • New Kernel 7.22 Ext supported for SAP Host Agent 7.22 installation
    • Kernel 7.21 will stay available
  • SWPM 1.0 SP33 (Linux, ASE):

    • Support of SAP HANA Cloud, ASE database, for ABAP and Java Systems for NW750 and higher​
