Zoom, Search, and View options
Zoom based
The View level drop-down has Zoom based as the default option – using the mouse wheel, users can zoom in from solutions level down to tiers level, and then to individual application and database server level. Or, they can choose Solutions, Tiers, or Servers from the drop-down to directly view the selected level.
Search
The Search feature () lets users quicky find and filter landscapes, solutions, systems, or infrastructure by SID, description, or labels within the Skyline view. Selecting from list of possible results navigates directly to that element in the 3D view.
The Search feature () lets users search within a landscape for its Solution or Description, a Tier by SID or DB-SID, or by Label. When you enter a search term; for example, ‘production’, the results will show all matching tiers across your landscape with their associated labels displayed.
Search results display matching elements with their labels across the landscape.
View Options
The View options menu provides controls to switch between different landscape views (Actuals, Delays, or Planned) or apply an On Hold status filter to customize how the landscape is displayed.
- Actuals: Shows the current, real-world ("as-is") landscape state and currently deployed systems.
- Planned: Displays planned future changes, target landscape states, and upcoming deployments or landscape modifications. This is typically used together with the Time Travel functionality.
- Delays: Highlights activities, projects, systems, or landscape elements that have schedule delays. Details can be viewed through the List of Delays panel.
- On Hold: Shows items or change activities whose execution is paused or temporarily suspended pending further action or approval. These are separated from active planned changes to improve visibility of project status.
Prerequisites
The user must have Landscape Owner or Landscape Viewer role authorization assigned.
