Labels (Create, Assign, Delete)
Purpose: This article directs users on how to manage labels (Create, Assign, Delete)
Prerequisites
Manage label allows user, as a “Landscape Owner”, to manage Labels for their ‘Tiers’:
- create/edit/assign/delete
- Label names are limited to a length of 15 characters
- It is possible to create and assign up to ten different labels.
Access and Navigation steps
Access
- Logon to SAP for Me: https://me.sap.com/home
- Click on: “Portfolio Products”, and later “My Product Portfolio”
- Choose tile: “Landscape Hub”
- Landscape Hub will open in a new window
Navigation steps
- Go to Landscape Hub > Skyline.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Click Actions and select Manage Labels
Note: This action is possible only for users with the role "Landscape Owner" assigned.
Step 2: Create Label
- Click Create New to create a new label.
Enter a label name, select a color and proper icon, and click Save. The newly created label appears in the Labels list.
Step 3: Assign Label
- You can assign/move the newly created label via drag & drop to any Tier you want.
- For assigning Labels to multiple tiers at once:
- Select multiple tiers using checkboxes (individual selection or select all)
- Counter shows number of selected items (e.g., "4 items selected")
- "Assign to Selected" button appears next to each label when tiers are selected
- Click "Assign to Selected" to apply that label to all checked tiers at once
Step 4: Delete Label
To delete a label entirely from your landscape, click the trash can (delete) icon next to the label in the Labels column.
To remove a Label from one specific tier without deleting it from the entire landscape, click the Remove (X) icon next to the Label on that tier.
Expected Results
Labels enable grouping tiers by functionality (HR, Finance, Logistics, etc.) beyond solution groupings.
