Functions: Overview and Manage Functions

Functions are responsibilities assigned to specific contacts or groups on the customer side for SAP to know whom to reach out to on the customer side to manage their private cloud landscape. 

• Functions can be assigned to S-Users / Contact persons / Distribution Lists
• Functions can be defined at Landscape / Solution / Tier level  
• Main Technical Contact & Technical Administrator can be assigned only to a S-User
• Other Functions: DNS Expert, Project / Implementation Manager / Technical Network Expert / 24/7 Helpdesk can be assigned to any user (S-User / Contact person / DLs)
• Mandatory Functions: Main Technical Contact, 24/7 Helpdesk, Technical Network Expert and DNS Expert

1. Logon to SAP for Me: https://me.sap.com/home(opens in new tab) 

2. Click on: “Portfolio & Products”, and later “My Product Portfolio” 

3. Choose tile: “Landscape Hub”​

4.  Landscape Hub will open in a new window

Note: Functions can be assigned to S-Users / Contact persons / Distribution Lists and can be defined at Landscape / Solution / Tier level.

To add functions, follow the instructions given below:

1. Navigate to required User Details from Users & Contacts page by clicking on the arrow associated with the user record

2.  Click on Add Functions

3.  Add S-User Functions: 1 or more functions can be assigned to a user

4.  Add Functions – Contacts/Distribution Lists(DLs): Main Technical Contact & Technical Administrator cannot be assigned to Contacts/DLs

5. Add other Functions: Select 1 or more functions and click Next Step; in this case "Main Technical Contact" and "Technical Administrator" functions are selected

6. Define Landscape: Select 1 or more Landscapes for both the functions and Click on Next Step

7. Summary step displays all landscape/solution/tiers selected in the previous step

8. Click Save and functions for selected landscape/solution/tiers will be assigned to the User

• Once the functions are added to the required Users, these Functions are displayed on the User Details page
• Functions added to User with Landscapes will be updated in respective user details
