SAP's Application Lifecycle Management Portfolio includes:

  • SAP Cloud ALM
  • SAP Solution Manager
  • SAP Focused Run

SAP Cloud ALM



This section explains the usage rights of SAP Cloud ALM.

Usage Rights Scope

  • Usage rights are included in SAP Cloud Service subscriptions containing Enterprise Support, cloud editions, in SAP Enterprise Support and in Product Support for Large Enterprises.
  • SAP Cloud ALM may only be used for application lifecycle management of the customer's on-premise SAP solutions insofar as these solutions are covered by customer's SAP Support agreement.
  • SAP Cloud ALM may only be used for the customer's own internal ALM processes.
  • SAP Cloud ALM includes a baseline of 8 GB SAP HANA Memory.
  • SAP Cloud ALM includes a baseline of 8 GB monthly outbound API data transfer.
  • Test management in SAP Cloud ALM is built to test and validate business processes. SAP Cloud ALM may not be used for automation of productive business processes.

The customer must either hold an SAP Enterprise Support, Product Support for Large Enterprises or an SAP Cloud Subscription contract containing Enterprise Support, cloud edition to have the entitlement to provision one SAP Cloud ALM tenant. 

SAP Solution Manager



This section explains the usage rights of SAP Solution Manager for customers* with an active on-premise SAP support and maintenance agreement.
SAP Solution Manager is delivered as part of the support contract. Within this contract, SAP grants usage rights for SAP Solution Manager.

 

Usage Rights Scope

The scope of the usage rights depends on the maintenance agreement and is independent of the SAP Solution Manager release.

The right to use the above mentioned databases is strictly limited to SAP Solution Manager and no hardware or services are included.

  • No need to license Users for standard usage of SAP Solution Manager
  • SAP Enterprise Support** customers can manage their whole IT (including non-SAP Components), while SAP Standard Support customers solely manage their SAP components with SAP Solution Manager.
  • SAP Enterprise Support** customers can use the full functional scope of SAP Solution Manager including the following functionalities: 
    • Custom Code Management
    • Business Process Change Analyzer
    • Scope and Effort Analyzer
    • Business Process Analytics
    • SAP Test Automation 
    • SAP HANA Deployment best practices
    • End-User Experience Monitoring
  • SAP Standard Support customers can use the full functional scope of SAP Solution Manager except the above mentioned functionalities of SAP Solution Manager.
    • For example connecting a third party test automation tool to SAP Solution Manager using the official interface is completely inline with the granted usage rights for SAP Standard Support Customers.
  • Test Suite in SAP Solution Manager is built to test and validate business processes. SAP Solution Manager may not be used for automation of productive business processes.

SAP Focused Run



This section explains the usage rights of SAP Focused Run.

Usage Rights Scope

  • SAP Focused Run is sold via SAP Global Price List by SAP Sales Organization.
  • SAP Focused Run customers can manage their whole IT (including non-SAP Components)

Tricentis Test Automation for SAP

This section explains the usage rights of Tricentis Test Automation for SAP.

 

Tricentis Test Automation for SAP integrated with SAP Cloud ALM:

Usage Rights Scope

  • A Term License for Tricentis Test Automation for SAP is granted with SAP Enterprise Support, cloud editions, with SAP Enterprise Support and with Product Support for Large Enterprises. This Term License is currently granted until July 31st, 2027.
  • Tricentis Test Automation for SAP can be used for testing and validating business processes.
  • Tricentis Test Automation for SAP may not be used for automation of productive business processes.
  • The following metrics apply:
    • 5 named users
    • 500 test runs per calendar month
    • 2.5 GB of storage
    • 5 customer-managed execution agents
    • Retention period of 12 months for test results

 

Tricentis Test Automation for SAP integrated with SAP Solution Manager:

Usage Rights Scope

  • A Term License for Tricentis Test Automation for SAP is granted with SAP Enterprise Support, cloud editions and with SAP Enterprise Support**. This Term License is currently granted until July 31st , 2027.
  • Tricentis Test Automation for SAP can be used for testing and validating business processes.
  • Tricentis Test Automation for SAP may not be used for automation of productive business processes.
