Integrating Unspecific Systems or Cloud Services in
Integration & Exception Monitoring Scenarios

When modeling an Integration & Exception Monitoring scenario it can become necessary to add non-SAP systems or services to the scenario to provide a holistic picture of the integrations within the entire landscape. This page describes how you can add these systems and services as UNSPECIFIC systems and services to Integration & Exception Monitoring scenarios.

Prerequisites

Before adding an unspecific technical system or unspecific cloud service to Integration & Exception Monitoring they must be added to the LMDB resp. the Cloud Service Management.

Adding an Unspecific System to LMDB

  1. Open the LMDB - Object Maintenance from the SAP Focused Run launchpad
  2. Switch the the tab 'Single Customer Network'
  3. Check the selected Customer Network. If it is not correct
    1. On the 'All Customer Networks' tab search for a system that is in the network you want to use and display the system details.
    2. Copy the value for the Namespace in the systems header data
    3. On the tab 'Single Customer Network' click on the 'Switch Namespace' button

    1. Enter a 'System Name'
    2. Select the appropriate 'Technology Type', e.g. 'Others'

  10. Click 'Next'
  11. Click 'Save'
  12. On the following screen on the tab 'Attributes' set the 'Lifecycle Status' to 'Active'
  13. Save you changes.
Please note: It can take up to 15 minutes until the newly created unspecific system is available to be added in Integration & Exception Monitoring.

Adding an Unspecific Cloud Service
