This table provides a list of functionalities which are part of SAP Solution Manager, but do not fit into the major ALM processes (like Implementation, Operations and Service, for example). Still, it needs to be considered how to handle these functionalities in the future when moving from SAP Solution Manager to SAP Cloud ALM.

Non-ALM topics / topics "outside" ALM

This table provides a list of functionalities which are technically part of SAP Solution Manager, but not related to ALM at all. Many of these functionalities are run on SAP Solution Manager because it is is a central system in the customer landscape, but are part of SAP Basis and need to move to other systems when moving away from SAP Solution Manager.

For this reason, it needs to be considered how to handle these functionalities in the future when moving from SAP Solution Manager to SAP Cloud ALM.

Central User Administration (CUA)not in scope

CUA is an SAP basis functionality, not a specific SAP Solution Manager functionality. If CUA is running on SAP Solution Manager, it needs to be moved to another system during transition to SAP Cloud ALM.

 

SAP Cloud ALM uses the BTP Identity Authentication Service for central user management of BTP-based systems.
