Setup for SAP Central Business Configuration

This page explains how to integrate SAP Central Business Configuration with SAP Cloud ALM.

SAP Central Business Configuration is used for the following use case:

Prerequisites

  • Wait until your SAP Central Business Configuration tenant is imported via the daily landscape import job. This should usually happen within 24 hours of subscribing to SAP Cloud ALM

Setup Steps in SAP Cloud ALM

Create Endpoint

  1. Open the Landscape Management application from the launchpad
  2. Select your SAP Central Business Configuration tenant
  3. On the tab "Endpoints", press the "Create Endpoint Automatically" button to create a new endpoint
  4. The endpoint creation can take several minutes. 
    1. You can check the status by first clicking on the refresh button for the whole table and then by clicking the refresh button for the endpoint entry.

Troubleshooting

Reason:

We are currently using the service description for the description when creating the endpoint. The description of your service contains a special character. The description for BTP destinations cannot include special characters.

Solution:

Click the "Pen" icon in the upper right corner of the service details and change the field "Description". Remove all special characters. Remove the failed endpoint and repeat the endpoint creation.
