Business Process Monitoring - Setup of SAP SuccessFactors

Prerequisites

To configure the integration of SAP SuccessFactors into the Business Process Monitoring app in SAP Cloud ALM, you need to fulfill the following prerequisites

  • A user* in SAP SuccessFactors for the OData integration
  • SAP SuccessFactors service has been successfully added to the SAP Cloud ALM Landscape Management

Procedure

You can create the HTTP endpoint in the Landscape Management app by following these steps:

  1. Open the Landscape Management application from the launchpad.
  2. Select your SAP SuccessFactors service of Service Type SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite.
  3. Choose the Name of the Cloud Service.
  4. Open the Properties tab and note down the data center name.**
  5. On the tab Endpoints, choose the Add button to create a new endpoint.
  6. Enter a description, e.g. Endpoint for Business Process Monitoring.
  7. Choose the use case Business Process Monitoring.
  8. Adjust the root URL: Enter the production system API URL for your data center. You can find the URL in SAP Note 2215682 - SuccessFactors API URLs for different data centers.
  9. Select the authentication method BASIC and enter the following parameters:
    • User: <user>@<companyID>
    • Password: The password for the user

  10. Choose Save.
  11.  After the successful activation, the data collection will start, and the SAP SuccessFactors tenant will appear in the Configuration pane in the Business Process Monitoring application.

Procedure:

  1. Log on with user management permission / Log on with a user that has the required authorizations to manage users
  2.  Search: “Manage Permission Roles”
  3. Go to the user role used for business process monitoring and choose Take Action / Edit
  4. Choose Permission
  5. Choose Recruiting Permissions
  6. Select the required oData entities
  7. Choose Done.
  8. Save your changes.
