Preventative KBAs & Notes Card

Overview

The Preventative KBAs & Notes card lists urgent and important support-related information for your systems so that you can react immediately, and anticipate and mitigate potential risks for your software solution landscape.

  • Preventative are those notes that, based on similarities, are identified by artificial intelligence (AI) services to notify you of a potential issue with your software.
  • Hot are notes that SAP Support experts have identified as helpful and tagged accordingly.
  • Trending are notes that rank high in the list of most-read documents. A spike in the number of visits to a particular note can indicate a looming issue.

Procedure

From the sidebar, select Services & Support → KBAs & Notes tab → Preventative KBAs & Notes card.

By default, the card shows preventative, hot, and trending notes for systems that you had selected at your most recent visit. Upon your very first visit, notes for your favorite systems are listed, provided you have marked ten or fewer systems as a favorite.

Selecting Impacted Systems

  1. Click the Filter button in the card header to enter the Filters dialog.
  2. In the Filters dialog, if your S-user is associated with a company in a global corporation, select one of your subsidiaries from the Customer dropdown.
  3. Click the System field to enter the Select Systems dialog. Here you can:
    • Enter keywords into the Search field at the top to find systems by ID, name, number or leading product.
    • Tick the respective checkboxes to choose up to ten systems that preventative KBAs and notes shall be retrieved for.
    • Choose Deselect All to abolish your selection.
    • Mark or unmark systems as a favorite by clicking .
  4. Click Confirm to return to the Filters dialog, then click Show Results to retrieve notes for the selected systems.

Working With the List

  • Click the respective column header to sort the list by Number, Title, Type, Category, or Component that listed notes are assigned to, or by System affected by the note, or by Alert Date, the point in time when the note was identified as hot, trending, or preventative.
  • Use the filters Component and Type, or use Search to narrow the list of notes down to the ones you are most interested in.
  • Click Menu, then Export, to download the table to a local XLSX file on your computer.
  • In the card footer, from the Entries Per Page dropdown, choose the number of items that shall be displayed at a glance.
  • Also in the footer, page numbers let you see how many pages of content exist and allow you to navigate between pages.
