Search

The central search in the SAP for Me header helps you quickly find information you need.

For example, you can search for S-users in your company, products, licenses, systems, and more.

Process

Place the cursor in the Search box in the SAP for Me header. A list of topics that you recently searched for will be shown. Click the Delete icon  to remove an item from the search history.

Start entering your search term. The search will start recommending results of different types:

  • Cases
    If you enter a search term that matches the syntax 12345/2023, a link to the case list (ticket inbox) will be offered to give you direct access to all matching cases you may manage.
  • Contacts
    S-users in your company.
  • Contracts
    for instance cloud or maintenance contracts.
  • Dashboards and Pages
    on the SAP for Me portal.
  • Downloads
    software files, i.e., installations and upgrades, or support packages and patches.
  • Fast Access
    cards in SAP for Me with a link target that matches the search term.
  • Products
    on-premise and cloud products in the SAP product portfolio.
  • Solution Areas
    areas across which SAP offers solutions, like ERP and Finance, or CRM and Customer Experience.
  • Support by Software Product Pages
    support knowledge for a particular product version. More ...
  • Systems
    systems with a name or technical key that matches your search term, or that a software product matching the term is installed on.

Important Note

To find support-related content that helps you resolve a technical issue with your software, use the Support Knowledge Search: At the top of the list of recommendations, click the link Search "[Your search term]" in Support Knowledge Base >.

Alternatively, enter the Services & Support dashboard where the Search Support Knowledge card is offered.

Depending on the number of recommendations of a particular type, not all of them are shown. Choose Show more to see all suggestions.

Hit Enter on your keyboard, or click the Search icon  in the Search box to trigger a search for support knowledge.

Choose  in the Search box to clear your search terms.

Actions

Depending on the type of the recommended search result, several actions are offered:

In the list of recommended Systems, click the License Keys icon  to request or extend a license key, or the Remote Connections icon  to manage a remote connection for the system.

In the list of recommended Contacts, click the telephone icon to call the person, or the e-mail icon  to send them an e-mail.

In the list of recommended Downloads, click the recommended software product to expose more information, for instance the product version, or click the Download icon  to jump directly to the downloadable file.
