What is a Solution Transformation Consultant?

Solution Transformation Consultants are responsible for orchestrating the activities from design to deploy throughout the business transformation journey using an end-to-end tool chain. They have a key role in accelerating the transformation project by leveraging best practices and ensuring the highest quality of business transformation.

What is the Solution Transformation Consultant Training?

This learning journey focuses on the solution transformation topic (design to deploy) in the end-to-end business transformation journey. This is a complete training that covers the end-to-end tool chain provided by SAP Cloud ALM for running Fit-to-Standard workshops. The training includes how to manage all implementation activities which adhere to SAP Activate methodology, content, and tools such as the testing powered by Tricentis Test Automation for SAP as well as the deployment activities controlled by SAP Cloud ALM. After completing this learning journey through pre-recorded content as well as onsite sessions at the ALM Summit EMEA 2023, solution transformation consultants will understand how to best manage SAP business transformations based on an integrated approach using an end-to-end tool chain.

Consultants will also learn about the design to deploy phase of this end-to-end tool chain, which includes SAP Cloud ALM and Tricentis Test Automation for SAP. The training will show consultants the recommended approach for:

Conducting a self-guided and content-driven implementation based on SAP Activate methodology and Best Practices content.
Onboarding project Teams rapidly and Progress Monitoring of implementation activities
Project planning and management of Implementation Tasks – automatically generated and adapted to customer scope.
Supporting Fit-to-Standard workshops with convenient visualization of Business Models and Process Descriptions
Preparing and managing manual and automated tests with Tricentis Test Automation
Using deployment and release planning capabilities
Using integrated reporting capabilities

Consultants will also gain an overview about how SAP Cloud ALM for operations increases operations efficiency and provides transparency regarding the availability of business services including business downtimes, business events and business SLAs.

Learning Content

Unit 1: Transformation Suite

Get a strategic overview of the business transformation suite approach to managing SAP business transformations based on SAP Signavio, SAP Cloud ALM, and Tricentis Test Automation for SAP.

Unit 2: Infrastructure and Onboarding

Understand the vision of the transformation suite approach' related tenant lifecycle. Learn the onboarding procedure of the transformation suite approach tenants: SAP Cloud ALM, Tricentis Test Automation for SAP, etc.

Unit 3: SAP Cloud ALM for Implementation

Gain an overview of the core functionality of SAP Cloud ALM for Implementation, including deep-dive sessions of the following capabilities:

Project and Task Management
Solution Documentation Management
Requirement and Process Management
Change and Deployment Management
Test Management
Traceability and Analytics

Unit 4: Tricentis Overview

Discover the integration between SAP Cloud ALM and Tricentis Test Automation for SAP. Experience how seamlessly the power of test automation from Tricentis fits into a business transformation toolchain powered by SAP Cloud ALM.

Unit 5: SAP Cloud ALM for Operation

Get an overview of how SAP Cloud ALM for operations ensures smooth business operations and increases business process execution quality and performance.

Learning Approach

This learning journey is a combination of recorded content for pre-learning and ALM Summit EMEA 2023 onsite sessions. After you complete the learning on Oct. 13th, challenge yourself with the final test to earn the SAP Solution Transformation Consultant badge!

All the learning content and the required summit sessions are categorized:

“Mandatory”

You are required to go through all the mandatory recorded content and participate in the mandatory sessions onsite.

“Alternative”

Some of the content is marked as "alternative", which means there is both pre-recorded content as well as Summit sessions available for the topic with quite similar content. You can watch the recording in advance so that you can save the time to explore other topics during the Summit or take the Summit sessions onsite and benefit from face-to-face interactions with specific topic owners. It is all up to you.

“Recommended”

Recommended pre-learning content and Summit sessions which are not mandatory for passing the test but can be beneficial if you would like to have further understandings of the corresponding topics. Go and explore them if you have time.

Up to 8 hours of recorded content.
Up to 8 mandatory in-person sessions onsite at ALM Summit EMEA (4 of them could be skipped if you have already gone through the recorded content).
Another 6 recommended sessions if you have time.

How to get the Solution Transformation Consultant Badge

No additional registration is required to take the final test. Just bring your own laptop on Oct. 13th to the test rooms (check the Event App for the location). A QR-code / link will be provided to you to enter the final test.
