Private Cloud Workspace Tab

The Private Cloud Workspace tab(opens in new tab) is useful for Private Cloud customers to get a quick overview on system related information, including system IT events, service requests, security patches, backup status, and more.

Procedure

  1. From the sidebar, select Services & Support → Private Cloud Workspace tab.
  2. To limit the information displayed in the Workspace, select any of the filters at the top of the page (Landscape, Systems, System Role and System Type) then select Go to update the information on the Private Cloud Workspace cards.
  3. You can save the filter settings and define your own views in addition to the initially provided Standard view in the top left corner of the Workspace.
  4. In cases you are responsible for multiple internal customers, the Customer Name on the top left corner of the page becomes selectable. Choose a customer from the Select Customer list. Select Confirm, then Confirm & Reload to reload the page with the customer information.

What's New

  • System Event Calendar card
    System IT events scheduled within the next 7 Days. Preview period can be changed using the drop-down field.
  • News card
    Recently published news about topics of interest for Private Cloud customers and Private Cloud Workspace users.
  • Quicklinks card
    Easy access to frequently used applications and other important content.
Risk Management
  • Security Patches card
    Displays systems with missing security patches. Select Manage Patches to see the full list and create service requests to patch the systems with minimal effort.
  • Top Issues card
    Displays systems with important open issues which must be resolved timely. Click on the Issue to get more details about the issue itself. Click on blue colored number of systems to get a list of affected systems. Select a system and select Create Service Request to get the top issue resolved.
  • Security Hardening Violations card
    Displays system which do not comply with security rules like compliant password policy, incompliant profile parameters, critical ICF services etc. Click on the blue colored incompliant number of Rules and get a list of violated rules. Click on the service request icon related to the incompliant rule and get the incompliancy resolved. 

Landscape Management

  • My Systems card
    Overview on systems operated in Private Cloud. Click on the card title to open the Landscape Application.
  • Backup Status card
    List of systems for which standard backup failed and available backup is outdated.
  • Service Request card
    List of open service requests according to their status. Service Requests in Customer Action appear on top of the list. Click on the card title to open the Service Request application.

System Capacity

  • System Capacity Overview card
    Graphical representation of Memory and CPU usage status of systems operated in Private Cloud. Systems in status <Inspect> are indicated with red color (refer to systems to inspect card). Systems with no resource utilization data are indicated in orange. Systems indicated in green color, resource utilization is within defined thresholds.
  • System to Inspect card
    List of systems for which Memory and/or CPU thresholds have been exceeded within the last seven day. There is no immediate action needed but respective systems should be closely monitored for some time in case the overload situation persists.

Release Upgrade Management

Others
  • Cloud Application Services card
    This card is only relevant for Private Cloud customers with a valid Cloud Application Services subscription. It provides an entitlement status showing the number of available tickets and the list of already consumed tickets. Click on the card title to open a list of consumed tickets.
