Service Data Upload Table

SAP EarlyWatch Alert is based on weekly service data uploads to SAP for every managed system. These uploads are displayed in a table, by default from the last 14 days, so for every managed system at least one entry should be displayed.

The column Data Transfer Status Details contains the crucial information indicating whether the corresponding service data upload is received at and accepted by SAP. If not, the column contains a short description about the root cause.

Also, for related SAP EarlyWatch Alert apps (such as Dashboard, Solution Finder) an additional status is displayed indicating whether the service data was successfully processed in a session by the corresponding app.The table below lists all areas and functions within the app and includes details of what they do and how to use them.

Relevant Filter Fields

  • Collected At
The period is by default the last 14 days. Note that one service data upload per week is scheduled for every system.
  • Data Transfer Status
Use the filter to display only the service data uploads which did not successfully arrive at SAP. In the result list, “Data Transfer Status Details” provides a short description of the respective cause. For all error statuses it is displayed next to the status in brackets.

Result

  • Sending System Product
For processing the SAP EarlyWatch Alert data, it must be sent to SAP. This can be done via a direct data transfer from SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP, via SAP HANA Cockpit, via SAP Focused Run, SAP-internally from  SAP HANA Cloud Statistic Server and via SAP Solution Manager.
  • Data Transfer Status Details
The status details consist of the actual status (by which you can also filter) and a short additional description in brackets.
    • Status Success
Here, no additional information is necessary. The service data successfully arrived at SAP and is scheduled to be processed.
    • Status Ignored
      Generally, no action is necessary.
“Duplicate” means that the service data for this system and week was already sent to SAP. Either the data collection is scheduled multiple times or is sent from different source systems (managed ABAP system, SAP Solution Manager, SAP Focused Run, or SAP HANA Cockpit).
    • Status Rejected
The data from these systems is rejected, so there is no service data for the system and the corresponding week available.
  • Report Status
If Success is displayed for the status, then the corresponding report is available.
In the case that the service data upload could not be processed in a session, SAP will retry the processing automatically (if the issue can be solved by SAP). You may create a case in component SV-SCS-EWA-GEN or SV-SCS-EWA, if the issue is not solved within a week.
  • Dashboard Status
If Success is displayed for the status, then the corresponding data can be displayed in the SAP EarlyWatch Alert Dashboard.

Note:  The dashboard is prepared after the report is made available. SAP will retry the processing, if required.
In case the service data upload could not be processed in a session within a week, create a case in component SV-SCS-EWA-ANA or SV-SCS-EWA.

  • Solution Finder Status
If Success is displayed for the status, then the report content is included in the SAP EarlyWatch Solution Finder. In the case that the service data upload could not be processed in a session within one week, create a case in component SV-SCS-EWA-SF or SV-SCS-EWA.
