| Search in Reports | Any term representing a system in your landscape is interpreted as a system ID, so you can restrict your search to specific systems.
Next to the usual search operators OR, quotation marks ["], asterisk [*] and question mark [?] you can use minus [-] to search for matches not containing the term immediately following the minus sign.
Example: If the system PRD exists in your landscape, the search term "Security PRD" searches for the string "Security" in reports related to system PRD. In the result list, however, you may find additional systems as well, because the search function also checks whether the same paragraph exists in reports for other systems.
|
| Alert Rating | Alerts with rating Yellow (Warning) and Red (Alert) are connected to the report rating Critical. Only alerts for the most important topics have the rating Decisive Red which causes the report rating Very Critical.
|
| Alert Age | SAP EarlyWatch Alert reports are processed once per week, so it is sensible to check the reports on a weekly basis.
In order not to miss a new alert if there is a delay processing or checking the reports, the period, in which the alert is considered as new after the first appearance, is slightly longer than one week. Therefore, this period always starts with last week’s Monday.
|
| Alert Category | The SAP EarlyWatch Alerts are divided in nine categories and different sub-categories. If for an alert no meaningful sub-category is available, Others is used. For every sub-category, the number of different alerts for the current filter settings is displayed in brackets.
To select the desired categories, you can either enter search terms or choose existing values for the alert categories. Among others, the control supports the following functions:
• To display only alert categories in the dropdown entries that contain a specific search term, enter that term in the entry field. Now you can select the desired entries; if you want to select all displayed entries, just select any check box and press CTRL + A.
• If more than one entry is selected, by default one entry and the text More is displayed in the entry field. Choose More to display all selected entries.
|
| Descriptions | The SAP EarlyWatch Alert Solution Finder scans the SAP EarlyWatch Alert reports and extracts the Alerts and Recommendations for the systems in your landscape. Other sections of the reports containing additional information not connected directly to alerts and recommendations derived from it are displayed when you choose Descriptions. |
