Authorizations
To create, edit and display cases, the following authorizations are available. These authorizations can be granted to S-users on so-called "authorization levels", for instance individual customer or even installation numbers. As an example, a user may be allowed to create cases for one particular SAP product that your company has licensed (represented by an installation), but not for others.
More information
- Report Technical Problem — This authorization is required to create cases. If the case has already been sent to SAP and comes back for customer processing, this authorization also enables the reporter to send the case to SAP again without requiring the Send Cases to SAP authorization. With this authorization you can also search and display all of your company's cases.
- Send Cases to SAP — This is a superordinate authorization to create, send and display your own cases. This authorization is necessary for the initial sending of a case to SAP. If a case has already been sent to SAP, the Report Technical Problem authorization is sufficient to send this case to SAP again by the reporter.
- Close Cases — You need this authorization to confirm the solution provided by SAP for a case.
- Display Cases — This is a read-only authorization to search and display cases that were reported for systems under a specific level, e.g. an installation number.
- Display all Cases — This is a read-only authorization to search and display all of your company's cases.
