The On-Premise Consumption card lets you understand your license compliance and software usage for SAP On-Premise products.
 

1. Go to Customer Dashboards → Finance & Legal → Consumption tab → On-Premise Consumption |Self Measurement card.
   Each of the tabs shows a table that contains information on the number of licensed and measured products with respective Metric ID and metric description. A negative value in the Delta column represents potential overuse and is indicated by an orange exclamation mark icon.
2. To see consumption data on the card, Upload System Measurement results.
   The upload is done via the measurement request email sent to you via SAP partner. Your SAP Partner can also upload the results for you. Following this, the license audit status on the card are adjusted accordingly.
   Note:  Only LAW XML and USMM TXT, XML measurement files are relevant for upload. 
3. Once the License Audit process was completed, with the measurement results are published in SAP for ME. Select the filters you want to use at the top of the card – Users, Engines, Engines Indicator, Self-Declaration Products for more detailed view.
4. Select the Date in the left card menu to access past measurement results. 
5. Select Self Declaration Form to declare usage for SAP products that cannot be measured automatically (the form will be shown only if applicable). 
6. In the Metric column you can see:
   • Metric name and (in brackets) metric ID
     Select the metric ID to open a customer information sheet available on the System Measurement page(opens in new tab) on the SAP Support Portal with additional information about the particular metric and the measurement method.
   • Open Historical View
     Click on this icon to open the historical view consumption divided by number of measurements done in the past.
     
7. Select the > to the left of a row to expand the row and find a list of material numbers assigned to a metric. Each material number has a direct link to the product details page under the Portfolio & Products dashboard.
   
8. (Optional) To download documents required to perform a system measurement, select Download Documents, then select the type of document you want to download, either:
   • Measurement Plan 
     • PDF – a list of all measurement-relevant systems.
     • LAW XML – a list of all measurement-relevant systems used in the SAP License Administration Workbench (LAW) 2.0 measurement tool. See License Administration Workbench (LAW)(opens in new tab) for more information about the tool.
   • or relevant Engine Notes (XML engine notes file format) which is a list of notes related to the measurement.
   • or select Download All.
