Expert Chat on Mobile
Expert Chat is a live chat service and best suited for medium or high priority issues. It connects you instantly to SAP technical support experts. In many cases, this will solve your problem and you might be able to continue working with no disruption and without creating a case.
Expert Chat is one of multiple channels that you can choose from when reporting a technical issue through the Get Support feature.
Procedure
- Tap the Get Support button (center of the bottom toolbar on the Overview page).
- Tap Get Support on the Contact SAP for Support page to report a case.
- Follow the instructions for the Get Support tool. Once you have specified all basic information, the Get Support feature will recommend the best suited channel. If offered, Tap Expert Chat.
Note: Currently Expert Chat does not support priority Very High issues). Availability of an expert to chat with also depends on the product and product function previously specified. - Read and agree to the Data Privacy Agreement.
- Enter a detailed description of your issue including, but not limited to, steps to reproduce. Click Continue.
- You may browse the suggested content that SAP recommends to you. If it does not resolve your issue, click Join Chat Queue.
Note: If no expert is available, you can save your input as a draft case. It is then listed and can be further processed in the Get Support application. - If you want to use a language other than English to chat with SAP support, you can choose machine translation provided by SAP Translation Hub and click Continue in the popup, or choose to keep English before you enter the chat page.
- You can start the chat with an expert to explain your issue. Tap the Done button to end the chat.
