SAP Notes & SAP Knowledge Base Articles

The Expert Search in the My SAP Notes & KBAs application lets you retrieve SAP Notes and SAP Knowledge Base Articles based on advanced selection criteria, and save these queries for future use. This is helpful if you carry out regular analysis of relevant information, e.g. identify SAP Notes regarding legal changes towards the end of your company's billing cycles.

Tip: If you add the term 'KBA' to your search you will greatly increases the relevancy of your search results.

Note Assistant

Note Assistant is a powerful tool for rapidly implementing specific SAP Notes. It recognizes dependencies on SAP Notes, support packages, and modifications that have already been implemented, which helps to ensure you implement all appropriate fixes for your SAP solutions.

We know that it's important to get the information you need, and that is relevant for you. Access our SAP Notes notification applications to see what type of information is the right fit for you.

Review priority 1 (very high) SAP Notes to resolve and prevent issues in SAP systems.

Review important action items and patches to ensure the security of your systems.

Review requirements caused by changes, announcements and corrections in legal regulation.

Review the most important SAP Notes of a primary application area, or a sub-area, reported on successfully closed customer support incidents.

Side-Effects of SAP Notes

When applying support packages, some SAP Notes may cause harmful side-effects in other areas of your SAP system. When SAP identifies this situation, to correct the side-effect problem a new SAP Note will be created and included in a future support package.

  • If you are planning to apply one single support package, the Support Package Overview page in the Software Downloads application gives an indication on which additional notes you need to apply to correct any side-effect conditions.
  • In case a more complex system upgrade is planned, the Maintenance Planner is the right tool.
